The staff are incredibly kind and great.
After a very uncomfortable encounter happening outside of the store, Denin (the store manager), had gone above and beyond for my sister and I, as he had walked us to our car to make sure we felt safe.
Thank you, Denin, for your exceptional care and concern. Your willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed and is truly appreciated. In a world where genuine kindness can sometimes be rare, your actions stood out as a shining example of excellent customer service. It's reassuring to know that there are individuals like you who prioritize the well-being of customers beyond the confines of the store. Your gesture has left a lasting positive impression, and we are grateful for your commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment. Thank you, Denin, for turning a challenging moment into a testament of exceptional service and human decency.

You won't find this kind of service at any other grocery store.

Favourite shop in the area which hits a good middle ground between price and not looking like a Minion is heading the design department.

Great supermarket! Has everything my family needs and at very good prices. Customer service is good and has a feel of being part of the neighbourhood.

I'm usually a No Frills guy but I like to shop here if I'm in the area and need some things. It's nice and large, wide aisles and lots of clearance to maneuver around. Prices are almost as good as it gets these days but No Frills definitely beats them on quite a lot of items but not by much. They excel at variety of items offered and they have a HUGE selection of sauces and condiments etc. Probably better than any other supermarket and they carry local and home industry types of items as well which is nice to see. Also enormous is the selection of breakfast cereals, granola, seeds and such. Seriously, it's a little overwhelming if you're not prepared. And FULL SERVICE CHECKOUTS! Not one self checkout kiosk to be found. Hopefully they will keep it that way.

Not sure why the parking lot has clearance thing cause it’s open air but I knocked off my roof rack and bike the other day lol

Great shopping experience. Leslie is an excellent staff member with A1 customer service. The store was buddy and I had been waiting in line for a few minutes. When I got to the till I realized I had forgotten something. Leslie was nice enough to run over and grab the item for me.

Feels weird writing a review about a grocery store, but I just had to after today's experience. I've been preparing a holiday dinner, and keep having to make trips to the store because I can't ever seem to find everything I need at once. Buy Low was out of tarragon today, and I was getting frustrated looking for it. Mark, in the meat department, picked up on this and asked if I needed help finding anything. I said yes, and when we determined Buy Low was out he offered to call Nestor's across the street to see if they had any! They did!

Mark went the extra mile today for me, and it really put me in the Christmas spirit. Merry Christmas Mark!

Aside from that it's just a nice grocery store with a good selection :)

Just left this store feeling very happy that kindness still do exist during this uncertain time.

While I checked out, I asked the cashier when they'd get the now-elusive toilet paper and she gave me the stash she was setting aside for home. I was shopping for my 72 year old mom who's precautionarily isolated at home and so this was very, very helpful. I'm sorry I didn't remember the cashier's name but it cannot be said enough that the staff here are always very happy, kind, and accommodating even prior to these current events. Everyone else shopping here now, please always reciprocate the kindness, patience and respect they give you, most especially these days. Head office/owners, please work towards compensating your staff hugely as they are, have been so essential during this time in our city.

Best place for total family success....good deals and decent crowds. Classic spot for great food and good deals. Wheelchair accessible and downstairs has a liquor store it's called Kingsgate mall but Bi-Lo Foods on this spot hands down good place to grab drinks to get lit and grab food upstairs at Bi-Lo Foods

Clean, fresh and Friendly. In the east side Mount Pleasant area there is no better produce. They are superior to urban fare and cheeper. The staff work hard to keep the store stocked and clean. Yah its a buy low... but just drop the pretentious whole foods attitude and check this place out! It really has some great items in store and stuff is available on the shelves when you need it.

Unlike their competition - 'chain' grocers who seem have Soviet-style top-down decisionmaking - there are a few things that I can no longer find at The Big Supermarket because some numpty at corporate HQ decided that they needed to be seen to make a decision and pulled the product - and a narrow supply chain,This location has a terrific selection, the staff listen and respond to customer requests, and local management appears to have a measure of autonomy. They seem to 'cast their nets wide' and take chances with new suppliers and products (yesterday I discovered a hot ghost pepper salsa made in Texas (tastes like 'pain ' BTW, but I'll be back for more)
oh, and the staff seem happy, therefore management is non-toxic...which is a pass/fail situation when I choose where to shop.

Good prices, full shelves and helpful staff this place is a gem, especially in Vancouver. They even offer free parking and shopping carts, unlike other grocery stores in the city. It's usually packed on typical shopping days but they have a number of lanes that are always open. Highly recommended.

They have groceries, you buy it, low price. Daily specials, good selection, convenient hours. The produce section is a thing of beauty when fully stocked - looks great, nice one folks!

Edit August 2019: Nesters Market moved in across the street. Don't be fooled. Buy-Low is both cheaper and better. Nesters ain't got sh*t on Buy-Low.

This grocery store makes me love grocery shopping. Prices are affordable. Staff are so friendly. They have most of what you are looking for, and if they don't, they will tell you where you can find it. Highly recommended.

I live nearby and this and the SuperStore on Grandview (located on the excellent Central Valley Greenway bike path) are my two main supermarkets, otherwise I go to smaller local stores. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The store is usually quite clean and tidy too, especially the produce section. At the front of the door they tell you how much of the produce is local, often it numbers more than 20 fruits and vegetables. Good work!

Their employee, Dahat went above and beyond to help my mom and I find our parking space and helped us carry the groceries. Really appreciative. Great friendly service and great store!

Always on point, best protein choices and price. Also the most friendly, helpful and just happy staff I have seen in any Vancouver store. Always a treat to go.

Mt. Pleasant institution selling all the supermarket goods you would expect at fair prices (unlike Save On a few blocks away). Ample bike and car parking and located above the other convenient wonders and delights of Kingsgate Mall makes it even better.

Great selection of produce and good quality. Also you can find many very hard to find spices and gourmet products. A much better experience then the local Save On, located on main.
