Breka Bakery & Café - Bute

Been here twice for lunch. Service fast for food but slower for drinks.
Always looked busy and potentially nowhere to sit, but we were two of us so no issues.
Good choice of food and so many cakes to choose from.
Friendly and efficient and food great.

My Circadian Rhythm woke me up at 5am on the hunt for food since we arrived late last night and unfortunately skipped dinner. Located down town, 1 block away from Blue Horizon hotel, it’s nestled at the corner of Bute St and Robson St. Sign indicated that they’re open 24/7! I got the egg sandwich, iced latte, apple juice, blueberry almond chia pudding and a chocolate donut. No, all that food wasn’t for me! It appears that locals come here for breakfast. They have many desert option. I may return this evening to give it a try. If you’re in the area and want a quick breakfast sandwich, check them out!

What an amazing experience at the Breka Cafe! They have very pesky pigeon's when you eat outside. None the less a very amazing selection of desserts and savouries. Highly recommend you try with a group of friends or even solo ❤

I was just grateful to have found a place that was open early in the morning. I genuinely didn't expect a 24/7 breakfast chain to be this good. They have a massive selection at a very reasonable price, and everything we got tasted great. I wish they had a location in Ontario.

I love coming here for breakfast always a variety of pastries and sandwiches. The food is always fresh. Recommend trying the Chai Tea latte with a shot of espresso and the hedgehog. I tried the london fog donut it was delcious and the italian pocket.

A bunch of friends recommended Breka for my next trip to Vancouver and honestly out of everything I ate this trip, the Tuna melt from Breka by far was my favourite. I thought about the Tuna melt every day when I was in Vancouver and for like a week after I left. I even brought a Tuna melt back home on the airplane and grilled it on a pan and it still tasted amazing. Honestly I'm not a big sandwich person so I was surprised by how much I liked it. Not to mention their desserts are great too! I had a strawberry short cake and a Pistachio donut. Not too sweet (: definitely miss Breka and want to come back ASAP.

The most lively place in the bustling downtown. A place where not only coffee but also bread is delicious and reasonably priced. A place where you can feel the energy of youth.

The bakery & cafe was located in downtown Vancouver.
We had a breakfast inside the cafe. Cafe was popular and crowded from early morning, but customers didn't stay so long. Thus we could find the seats.
I ordered pretzel croissant sandwich and pistachio donuts. Both were really tasty. Sandwich was heated and I could enjoy crispy surface. Ham and cheese were good balance of salty taste. Pistachio donuts was soft and fresh. Pistachio cream had a good nuty taste.
There were so many varieties of food.
I recommend this cafe for breakfast and lunch in Vancouver!

I came back here in 2024. I had a yogurt and granola this time. It was also good.

Love this place. My favourite is red velvet cake they do, cheesecake brownie, and egg sandwich. Their ice teas in summer time also so amazing. Love to go there for late dessert too.

Could never go wrong with Breka, lots of location around Vancouver. Great place to hang out with friends or do work. If I’m in the area, always grabbing a few boxes of donuts to bring back to Coquitlam.

The Strawberry shortcake and Black Forest cake were both amazing! Their coffee is okay but not the best. And there was line so you need to wait to give an order.

They have pastries and sandwiches to die for. Definitely check them out, our favourite is the lemon coconut cream donut and chocolate custard donut

Sayaka was absolutely lovely! Even on a busy night, she greeted me with a smile and offered suggestions for things to order. I felt, warm, welcomed and appreciated for being a customer. Amazing customer service!

It's one of my favorite places in vancouver. Food and service are incredibly good. The only downside is because it's kinda too crowded, s sometimes you get a hard time finding a place to sit.

Unbelievable selection of tasty items and open 24/7? I would be another obese American if this was in my neighborhood 😳😂 but I am so glad to find it here on a Vancouver Vacay! 😍

Always busy. Has wide variety of pastries, cakes, desserts and sandwiches. We never missed visiting this place when we are in Vancouver. Might take a lot of visits as there are lots of choices. Very nice packaging as well,but looks so costly.

Absolutely delicious earl gray cream puff and the matcha latte was a nice pairing with it! They have a huge assortment of other baked goods I can't wait to try
