Sungiven Foods (Burnaby Hastings Store)

So what I like about son giving foods is that they are wheelchair accessible. You can park your car outside and you can go in. You know just like that easy and they're customer service is right on and they're always so friendly and so helpful and and whatever you you are looking for that has to do with you. Know Chinese food and stuff like that they might have it. You just have to ask but otherwise I do have really good snacks and really good food soap. Can't complain. That's why I gave it five stars

I moved out of the area a few years ago and just came back and this was definitely one of the local spots I missed. It's definitely a smaller Sungiven, but I've always been stoked to find the more beautiful produce and great import foods. I wish they had a larger home and cleaning section but I'm not mad at their food selection at all.

Lots of fresh meats and produce. Price for groceries is comparable to other stores in Burnaby. They have specialty items like refrigerated walnut milk which you don't see very often. Lots of organic veggies and health conscious options like low carb alternatives. Great selection of prepared meals which seems to be in the price range of Urban Fare, slightly higher than similar products found in T&T or Save-On-Foods. Shopping aisles are wide enough to move around comfortably. Friendly customer service and the store is very clean. They offer single-use gloves to customers on their way in, and the clerks will double bag the groceries at checkout. There's a small fee for their paper bags so you can bring your own reusable shopping bag if you prefer. There's a small parking lot next to the store, as well as plenty of street parking along E Hastings St.

Conveniently located on Hastings Street in Burnaby with plenty public transit and free parking lots around.
I find many products are probably better quality than other stores with reasonable prices.

What can I say about Sungiven Foods is that there always super friendly and so helpful and it's spacious as well and there customer service is always on point . There super friendly and that's why I go when ever I can and the prices are reasonable depending on what you want to get . But over all there amazing

Always very clean and selection of hot pot meats and pantry items are very nice. Produce is more expensive than some other neighbouring markets and there is a lot of plastic packaging which shouldn’t be necessary

They have plenty of cool items to buy! The store is small but I got everything I need😉

Looking for an Asian grocery store in this area for long time, finally Sungiven come to this area. Very nice store setup with high quality perishable selection, moreover they have the great price value than other retailers.

Great new chain of Supermarkets making a name for themselfs with over 8 locations. This one is small and cozy with a good location in Gilmore and Hastings area

Nice clean store. Tried some of the prepared foods from their cafeteria and ate in their eating area. Food was pretty good. People were friendly and was asked upon entering the store to try some moon cake. Was informed of the promo that was running. Was generally impressed by the look of the store.

I note two areas of potential improvement. One would be to have more Cantonese speaking staff. Second would be to inform their staff to use the entrance to enter the store and not the exit. As I was leaving the store, a staff member was entering. Staff member did not allow me to exit before they entered from an exit. Staff member could have been more polite.

Love this store!!! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable compared to other stores. Store is very clean & organized. Great selection of all products. Highly recommended!! Thanks to all the staff!

The best grocery store in Vancouver! Everything is fresh and very good quality. They sometimes have very good deals that you can get free low-priced stuff. The price is very reasonable compared to the quality. Customer service is AMAZING! I don't mind sometime waiting in the long line up to check out, just because I know that their staff work very hard to bring the best service (compared to either big stores or small Chinese markets around).
My Chinese friend told me that they could order regular delivery and this is very convenient and saves time. However, one staff told me that they only can help orders like that via Wechat (in Chinese). I wish they can expand this service in English because I truly want to be their loyal customer. I shop here once or twice a week, so I wish I can give my weekly list for convenience. Hopefully they will announce delivery service soon and will have more and more locations.

Awesome little store with quality groceries. I always come here with my girlfriend to get meat for hot pot. They often give random little gifts of century eggs or vegetables or whatever. They won't have as much selection as save on foods or T&T but what they do have is very good. Would highly recommend anyone in the area to check them out!

Great selection and great prices! I get my oat milk and fruit juice there because it’s surprisingly a lot cheaper than large-surface stores like Safeway! They have a wide selection of vegetables and always seems fresh, the staff is constantly stocking the shelves and I appreciate that this is one of the only stores I have yet to see understaffed. Definitely a great new addition to Burnaby Heights neighbourhood, I love this place!

Somehow every Sungiven Foods have high quality food and service. It's not always the most convenient location but it's so good that you will go out of your way. They're not as big as a warehouse style supermarket but definitely hits a target market that I belong to that looks for quality produce and meats as well as Asian specialty items all at a competitive and reasonable price. Great neighborhood spot for organic produce and packaged goods. Hot pot meats are the best I’ve found in any supermarket. Friendly staff. Just wished they would widen the aisles in the produce section….one inconsiderate shopper can end up blocking the entire line of traffic when the store gets busy!

The products are high quality and price is amazing!

I visit during Sunday morning, rarely any people. Staff who walk around with free samples can be pushy at times (when I ignore them or say no thank you they keep talking in your face) when I am genuinely not interested but that’s probably only because of language misunderstanding. It’s a good place to buy sweet snacks and frozen food because they have large section of those. I like their black egg yolk custard bun from their warm food section. They have a good flower section too. Their evaporated milk and condensed milk are too expensive get it from TNT instead.
