Shoppers Drug Mart

I've stayed across the street from the Shoppers Drug Mart and have shopped here a few times. I've never had a prescription filled, but I can talk to what I can talk to. They have a pretty wide variety of items and are pretty comparable to a CVS or Walgreens here in Texas, except they don't have as many food options. That's a downer, but when my stomach was a little jacked up, they had Pepto Bismol and also Ginger chews which helped get me back on track. Also the staff at this Shoppers Drug Mart are super helpful and super friendly! They also have ketchup flavored potato chips! They have Lay's and another brand I can't recall, but trust me - get the other brand, they are soooo good! Anyway, whenever I've had a question about where an item is, the staff is always quick and helpful to send me to the right spot AND above all to help me through the self-checkout process that has more clicks than than any 5 trips to self-checkout at Walmart or the HEB here in Texas. I imagine that's just how it is, but when you use a credit card at the self-checkout, you still have to sign the receipt. Seems like having a signature pad on the POS device would be a little slicker, but who knows, there's probably a Canadian law or policy from the Canadian Minister of POS's that requires a human signature on paper - you know global warming and all. ;-) But that said, Shoppers Drug Mart is a great pharmacy type store - oh and their prices are really good it seems. I paid much less for Abreva lip stuff than I do back stateside, so that's a big STAR for SDM! I will be back again - I do wish they carried more items like RAMEN noodles or a bigger selection of frozen meal items that can be prepared in a microwave, but that is purely my self-focused wishes.

This review is primarily for the store section (not the pharmacy counter). I’m thankful that as one of the few stores in the area they are open until later in the evening. It’s a regular Shoppers BUT the staff is amazing. From the regular staff to the occasional new faces on the weekends; from the long time employees to young adults. They are real and friendly and always impeccably helpful. In a time when lots of people just go through the motions (and for the pay they receive, I don’t blame them …), I truly appreciate the realness of this store’s staff.

I visited the post office at this location today and was very happy with the service as usual. Jennifer was helpful friendly and efficient. It was a pleasure to mail all my packages.
The cashier at checkout was also really great I didn't get this young woman's name but I was impressed with her ability to handle the till not working and helped everyone use the self checkout without ever letting her smile falter.
Overall I highly recommend this store and find the staff to be excellent. I will be back. Thank you all

Highly recommend the beauty counter at this store! They always have everything in stock, including the shades that are often sold out at other locations. I went in the other day looking for help with a TikTok viral drugstore concealer, and the woman at the counter (white, blonde hair - seemed like a manager?) was kind enough to spend time with me and figure out what shade would work for me 😄 Not my local shoppers, but I'll definitely be back.

I use another shoppers close to me. They do not offer for adults, so took the COVID vaccine booster shot from a young pharmacist here name E...eth. I mentioned that I had an allergy with hives after the second dose a week after taking it. She listened carefully and she offered me an option to switch to Moderna. I stuck to Pfizer. She called to follow up if I am OK after a week. I may switch pharmacy now.

Called a ton of Shoppers looking for a specific TV in stock. This was the only Shoppers out of 10+ where someone actually went out of there way to help out. I was helped by someone named Mike (Michael?) who checked their inventory system from other locations BY BRAND (had to look for TVs within the brands!), and was able to help me identify where I should be going to next. All other locations called were <1 minute phone calls, this one was easily a 5 - 10 minute call.

Didn't buy from this store, but definitely would have due to the friendly demeanor of the staff.

Love it love it love it. Best shoppers in town .smaller selections than the new shoppers but the staff there is always friendly and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend this shoppers over and over again. I can't get over how great the staff is. Keep it up guys. Also very clean ad u can't beat the hours 12am daily sunday to monday

Wow!!! Brought my kids to the pharmacy for a Covid PCR test. The staff was friendly and the pharmacist administered test quickly and with no pain. Thank you so much!

Staff was helpful and friendly to me when I came to buy medicine. He advised me the best thing for the best price. Also they open till very late which is great. They have ATM from RBC inside, so I always go there

My favorite drug store. Usually we complain about prices here. I wouldn't, worth every penny.
Druggist, cashiers etc, are the best.
