Dollarama

I love this location because it is tucked away and it's the as crowded as other locations. They have great selection and a lot of branded items. Only drawback is there is never a cashier only self checkout.

Well run clean Dollarama. They now accept Visa and MasterCard as well as debit. Line up was not too bad. Lots of parking. Unfortunately there is hardly anything at Dollarama for a dollar anymore ☹! Most items are dollar 1.25 or $1.50 or even $2 dollars !!! TorontoLocalGuide review.

First, I love Dollarama. They have everything I would ever need at amazingly low prices and high quality products given the prices.

This afternoon on my lunch break, while I was at this location I was helped at the self service cash station by a lovely Dollarama Sales Associate who was assisting all customers at the self-purchase registers.

I feel compelled to leave this review, because she was the loveliest professional and genuinely kind Sales Associate, who helped me ring in all my items, handling everything with care and also bagging them. So thank you whomever you were, keep up the amazing work.

Dollarama will always be the place to urgently find useful items at affordable prices. The products aren’t as flimsy or poor quality as people claim. I buy most kitchen, toilet and party decor items from Dollarama and I have no regrets. Highly recommend this store whether you’re on a budget or not. Who doesn’t want to save a few $$?

The good news...
Great franchise all around. I find that Customer Service is good at this location & Islington location as well. Hard working & friendly.

The bad news...and this is for the Corporate side of the business.
It seems like every time I shop here, the poor staff are dealing with a thief or thieves, and they're not getting any real help. I've managed retail most of my life and have dealt with Loss Prevention rules/methods. But you can't expect staff to deal with aggressive thieves who purposely act this way, so that no one will do anything about them. And because no one (like a legitimate security guard or a LP Manager) is there to deter them, they keep coming back.

Either way, the staff here are great here and put up with a lot. Even having to record whats stolen is hard to do everyday & Dollarama won't know their losses until Inventory. Not to mention, what happens when a civilian has an issue/incident with these thieves. Real customers may avoid the location to feel safer or try to help out and get themselves hurt.
Please Do The Right Thing & send them some kind of help.

The only other thing that sucks, is the weird parking area at this plaza. But that's not Dollarama's fault by any means & isn't reflected in their rating.

Definitely one of the better Dollaramas in the area. Store is huge, well stocked, clean, and they have lots of things other dollaramas don't.

Dollarama has sooo much good stuff. My small craft corner. It is very therapeutic!

For sweets and snacks it's unbeatable.

Great variety of products here. Better than some other Dollarama locations. Today I got this cute lil vase $2.00 only!

Very clean and organized. Easy to locate items

The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. Prices aren't bad on most items. The store was clean, tidy and well lite. I just didn't like the self serve they put in to cut out staff, so I went to the regular cashier.

Nice enough to let me in at 1 minute before 9 to grab a couple items! I was tied for time and only got there then. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase my items. The employees were all sweet and saved me a trip for the next day!

This store is clean and well/organized. Each aisle was marked with a one way direction and staff monitored it. I was please to find that they appointed a staff member at the entrance to ensure there were no more than 25 people in the store at any given time and therefore made it much easier to practice social distancing. I appreciated seeing a store take such care of people’s health during this time.

Lots of selection. Has lots of different stuff then other dollarama's. Got some cool color changing wireless led lights with remote there for my house and car. Works amazing does as good of a job as the expensive ones at Canadian tire but much cheaper then Canadian tire . Love this Dollarama on north queen street

Great customer service! Was looking for Printer Paper, but couldn't find any. Ask a lady in the store, she said that they didn't have any. At the cash register she asked her colleague and that lady went all the way to the office supply section, found and brought it to me! Thank you! So nice and considerate. Loving when people are not lazy and ready to make an extra step.

I used to think Dollarama just sold off-brand products but that isn't the case. They have most of the bigger names, along with lesser known ones, at incredibly low prices. You can also find everything and anything from tools, chocolates, utensils, gardening tools, clothes, cleaning supplies, electronics, pet toys, etc...

The store has a clean layout and items are always in stock. The staff are friendly and there's a large parking lot out front.

You can always find a bargain here. They have great deals and you may not know it. They carried silicon travel bottles for liquids. Great price. However they discontinued this and I found them in the chained drug stores which are excessively priced. I loved their garden products especially plant ties. Birthday cards are well priced versus the regular cards which could range from $4 to $8 at Shoppers and Walmart. Chocolate bars and "junk food" are also a good bargain.

what can I say about Dollarama? It's freaking awesome and they're doing amazing for themselves. Despite all of this backlash about certain items being more than a dollar - honestly this place has pretty much everything you can ask for in a dollar store as well as food. I'm really impressed with the food selection as well as the crabs, cleaning products, everyday items - I mean the list just goes on and on. My husband and I always stopped in here to get cleaning products as well as munchies!
