We've been going to Jim's for about 5 years now - it is the BEST place to get whatever cuts you're looking for. Need a few filet steaks? Just ask Jim and he will cut up a full loin to whatever you want. Brisket? Just ask and he'll get what you need. In a hurry for dinner, grab a couple stuffed pork chops. Great groceries and wine/liquor as well. My daughter begs to go there - because she always knows a good dinner will soon be hers!

Really good local shop family owened and operated , really good staff and family good quality meats and poultry and sausages, and fresh sandwiches everyday , in house baked cakes and pies and cookies , definitely a must and recommend to all to stop in

Based on some of the other reviews for this place I would make two further observations: I caution you that it is a butcher shop. They do have good products, but it's up to you to cook everything properly. Also, if you are feeling particularly sensitive or triggered, they probably aren't going to help you work out your non meat related issues.

If you haven't stopped in to check these guys out - you are definitely missing out!! Excellent service, great selection, lots of homemade goodies!! Store was clean, well kept, and cutely decorated! I will absolutely be back!! For sure one of my new favorite places!! 😁

Love Jim's Butcher Shop. Great selection of meats, beer, and liquor. Always friendly as well. You get that hometown feel every time you walk in.

Jim’s Butcher Shop 1st time visit for me. I lived in the area for 14 years and I can say I’ve been missing out ! Decided to go here since my usual big box store was completely out of ground beef. Easy parking, clean and quaint store with many many beer selections and liquor. Meat counter was nice, fully stocked and the young lady who helped me was patient as I got about $65 worth of meat. Will be back !

This is my favorite place to get meat. The have a good variety of high quality meats at great prices. The workers there are always friendly and helpful. I also appreciate that they did not have huge price increases during covid.

110% reccomend! High quality meats and homemade baked goods at prices better than the grocery stores! Always have positive service from the staff that treat you like a friend and not just a dollar sign.

At this uncertain time, the staff proved friendly and followed safety protocol. I will return again! Some of the most friendliest people. Not to mention their butcher shop is amazing! I highly recommend them.

Jim's butcher shop is a mainstay in downtown Flat Rock. It has been here for over 30 years. He has the BEST in hand cut meat of all kinds. He also has AWESOME stuffed pork chops, chicken, kabobs, and homemade sausage that is out of this world. He also does catering and processes deer! Homemade breads and bake goods of all kinds. Scones are to die for. Other groceries & antiques and craft persons goods.
