Sunglass Safari

I have been a customer of Sunglass Safari for 19 years and have been truly satisfied with their products. Maui Jim's, Serengeti and Spotters. I have also used warranty and non-warranty service and was pleased as well. Deb knows her products and the prices are very fair.

Debbie and her staff are rockstars! This is my go-to spot for sunglasses, very fair prices, very nice people. Can't go wrong with them!

Absolutely fantastic place to get both prescription glasses and Sunglasses. Debbie and her other store associate helped me pick a nice Maui Jim glass. They have a huge collection of the same and they are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to optics.

Debby is the most legendary owner of any store I’ve met. and there is probably the biggest selection in Canada for sunglasses. I have a tendency to spend way too long looking for sunglasses and the staff do not make me feel rushed in any way. I really appreciate these guys and will forever be a loyal customer. I'm bias because I have bought 4 pairs of glasses from them, and ordered special lens that not many stores can accommodate. If you are looking for an option other than you know who, this is the spot.

Great experience. My first time buying a more expensive pair of sunglasses, and Debbie made it very easy for me. Aside from the reasonable price, I appreciated Debbie's advice and the service she's willing to provide to make sure I'm taken care of and stay happy. I'll be going back there for future purchases, and feel confident in sending friends over there as well.

After my new sunglasses fell and broke I contacted Sunglass Safari for repairs. Debbie was amazing! She was helpful and accommodating and repaired my glasses in less than 5mins. I also bought a hard case to avoid them breaking again. Debbie was awesome and she charged me such a reasonable price for repairs and the new case. They have a great selection so I will return when I need new sunglasses.

Walked into the store looking for a specific set of sunglasses and walked out with a new style! So I went looking for a new pair of Serengeti Drivers sunglasses (from Corning Optics). When I was a bit younger, these were the best. As well, I didn't want polarized sunglasses (So Maui Jims were out) - as you can often not see your phone or car stereo displays through polarized lenses.

I went to every sunglass shop and optician in Yorkdale and Vaughan Mills malls and none were to be found. The store "Spare Parts" offered to order them for me (for the full retail price $250-300). The problem is that they had zero for me to try - so I would have to guess which model I wanted, pay for it upfront, wait for it to come in and hope I like it - or try and get a refund - I don't think so. Frustrated and about to give up, I tried Googling "Serengeti Drivers" and found Sunglass Safari. Despite the lack of reviews and 1 negative review, I figured at this point, I had nothing to lose.

So yesterday I wandered in to Sunglass Safari. To my surprise, they had dozens (maybe hundreds) of Serengeti drivers (both polarized and not) in stock and well organized (sorted by lens type, frame material, etc). They didn't have the exact pair that I wanted, but they did have the exact model in a slightly different frame color - for nearly HALF the MSRP ($169) that everyone else seems to want. Needless to say I bought them happily. So sunglass safari (at least for Serengeti drivers) should be your first stop. They mostly stock NOS (new old stock) models which they sell for 50-60% off. They did offer to order me current models at a discount as well.

Now I didn't think to ask peoples names, but the young man at the counter and the woman that owns the place were very helpful and very patient, while I tried on half the store. :) So I would definitely go back. Highly Recommended!

Probably my longest retail vendor relationship: I've had about a decade of great experiences, product and service here. Top notch owner who cares.
