Vinnies' Feel Good Shopping - Lakefield

The store is organized pretty well and there are friendly staff who respond well. Just make sure you bring smaller bills and or a debit card to support the small business!

My family goes often, everyone is always very kind and and the store always looks great. It's our favorite thrift store.

I frequent all of the vinnies locations in both Peterborough and lakefield and the lakefield location is not only well organized, very clean and the staff are all very friendly but it always has a small town vibe and community feel. We love the store! Keep it up, staff! :-)

Store is very small and clean..nice displays...jewelery fair prices..but i found clothes and other household items pricy for a thrift shop..staff ok

I was so disappointed with the location in Lakefield! The one lady was really rude to my mom and me.
There was a kids 3t coat that came in not that long ago (after us being there) and I though it would be perfect for my almost 2year old son. So my mom and I were taking in front of her about how perfect it is for him. So I asked how much and she replied “ I haven’t priced it yet”. So then I ask well how long do you think it would be to do so?! With a snippy attitude she replied “ with other things I have to do today it could be until the end of the day before I get to it”.
That made me feel very uncomfortable and not wanting to shop there. You would think she could of been nicer about it and also they should be encouraging people to buy their stuff. So for my first time going into vinnies was not a good experience.

Never had an issue before, BUT - I bid on some jewellery they listed as "925 sterling silver" (ie. before the Covid 'lockdown') and received a call several days ago telling me I won the bid.
It's over an hour drive (1way) for us. We payed for our items and left, only to discover (using a magnet) that they were NOT sterling, just cheap steel. I know it's a used-store, but I expect them NOT to cheat me (knowingly or not), or at least take them back since they were NOT as advertised, but they refused.
So buyer beware.
