City Cottage Market

It's a clean well organized shop with a pleasant owner. I first visited on the suggestion of a friend to pick up a Gertie's peanut butter pie. The pie is delicious & I highly recommend it. It's available with jelly or caramel. I love supporting small local businesses like this & it's extra enjoyable when the owner is engaged.

Great variety from four mesh bread and eggs to healthy snacks and sweets, frozen dinners and laundry detergents.

What a fantastic little shop in Birchcliff! So many unique items (Lazy Daisy biscuits for the win!), pre-made fresh and frozen foods, and everyday staples including amazing breads and farm fresh eggs. LOVE IT HERE!!

Our favorite spot in the neighborhood! The owners are a wonderful and welcoming family. Great coffee, bread, wine, amazing products sourced locally. Very cosy space inside to grab a coffee.

Picked up some Wong's Ice Cream here which is much appreciated given the Wong's store had closed down. Called ahead to make sure they had some in stock and the lady who answered went out of her way to let me know what flavours they had. This was much appreciated as I do not live anywhere near the area so this saved me time. Did a bit of browsing and they seem to have a nice selection of pantry items and more. It felt like a mix of an elevated "convenience store", a cafe, and local crafts. The person running the store was very friendly and cheery which makes for a great shopping experience. Highly recommended you drop by to check it out!

City Cottage Market is a great addition to the neighbourhood. It has all the essentials you need and more. Friendly and fun atmosphere. Daniel, Liana and the entire family are such a pleasure and they make everyone that visits their store feel like family. Love this place and this team. Doing amazing things for the community!

We went to check out City Cottage Market one day as it is one of the only places to get a coffee around us and we were hooked from the moment we stepped into their space. Daniel, Liana, and Elaine truly made going to get a coffee an experience - everyone is so unbelievably warm, welcome, and genuine. When you step into City Cottage Market you feel an immediate sense of community - that’s what sets them apart from every other place we’ve been to and why we will be lifelong customers!

I can’t say enough how much I love this shop! It is a lovely family run business with gorgeously curated items that are high quality and delicious and almost all locally sourced! My favourite essentials here are the coffee, the frozen dumplings (from daily dumpling wonton co), the lazy daisy cafe’s biscuits, the birchcliff honey, and a tonne of the sauces/oils as well as cocktail basics from Dillons. So thankful this local gem exists.

What a discovery! A delicious, home made breakfast sandwich and a latte were exactly what I was looking for when I stopped by yesterday. Prepared foods, pastries, horseradish, pasta, coffee beans, bread - all sorts of locally sourced products including beer & gin. Dogs welcomed. Seating inside and out. This shop will be a routine stop on my cycling circuit.

Such friendly owners! Good selection of artisan foods, coffee, beer, wine and spirits as well. My dog loved his treats and didn't want to leave.

It’s truly a gem!

We brought our kids to the Ginger Bread Man decoration event held by this store yesterday and the kids had a lot of fun. Wonderful store run by wonderful people. Excellently curated local food and bottle shop and a great spot to grab a coffee and chill for a bit. I’m there several times a week.

I love the City Cottage Market so much. It’s hard to know what I love the most, the products, the vibe or the owners who are always there. Such a great addition to the neighbourhood and worth the drive from anywhere in the city.

A cute store, with a bunch of unique and local items both for your pantry and your home. Everyone you meet behind the counter with quickly become a good friend, with warm smile everytime you pop in for a delicious latte or snack.

right on the border of the beaches and Scarborough, I found this place with gorgeously curated items and lovely human beings. Dog friendly, real mom and pop vibe, quality products....Scarborough needs more businesses like this! After one visit they've earned us as loyal customers :)
