Very simple I got in I got out the line was always moving the cashier's were friendly and I was able to make my purchase within a few minutes of walking into the store

Vegetables and fruits there is in a very good prices, the quality is perfect, the bakery section is organized with to much varieties, i love the brioche bun and the bagels there brand Select is so delicious and the Select cheese is always up to my standards.

I grabbed famous TimTam biscuits from this store for only $1 per pack which was amazing given that it sells for $4 most of the times.

Really convenient (if you live nearby). Prices are pretty good mainly because it caters to a lower income range. The store is neat, well stocked and feels professional. I recall in the 1990s, before Food Basics moved in, the previous brand name store was run by ignorant trailer trash.

LOVE this place! Been shopping here for like 6 years? Probably the best deals for the best quality products. 2$ for CASHEWS?! And my favorite as well as my guilty pleasure... liberte 9% yogurt just 3$?! Not to mention some of the things they have I can't find anywhere else like Wilk brand perogies? I'm Polish and I can't find these anywhere aside from obviously polish markets and they have them for just 3$ a pack! The only thing they're missing is those shortbread sticks or any kind of shortbread really but I'll forgive that ;) way better than that sad empty excuse for a grocery store called no frills and way way cheaper than the ridiculous prices at metro and loblaws sometimes charge for certain things. Not bad mouthing the last two places i mentioned...They have okay sales sometimes but food basics is simply better. No frills I hate. They don't have any yogurt almost :/ my point is, go here! You don't be sorry. Thanks!!

This grocery store is a really great place if you wants to buy your grocery ad lower plaque prices. The quality may not be comparable to other high-end product that are sold in high-end grocery stores but if you want to have your grocery in a limited budget with a great quantity and acceptable quality you can for sure have your groceries done at the store. The surrounding area may not be the greatest but the great thing about this grocery store is that it does have a free parking for the customers so if you're driving downtown and you need to do your groceries and you're driving to the grocery store you most probably won't find a place for parking if you're shopping at other grocery stores but this one provides you with a free parking which is a great option.

The food is good, the produce fresh, and the price is affordable.This Food Basics is in St. James Town,and It is five minutes, so it is convenient and close-by. I highly recommend it you stop by and shop at this supermarket, and you will love your experience.

You need to keep your receipt while buying milk, sometimes it goes bad even the expiry date is long, in that case you can switch the package.

Went today here for the first time and was very impressed with the customer service and friendliness of the employees, especially since my expectations were very low, based on a visit long ago to a Jane St location. Prices were the lowest I've seen for what I needed. I'll surely be going back again!
