Honestly coming from London I have to say this place exceeded my expectations of what a good basics could be and should be, who ever manages the store / produce has done a fantastic job. Super helpful team and honestly I'll be going here over the London store for any deals.

This is the grocery store where I do all of m primary shopping. I initially came for the low-ish prices, but I keep coming back because of the great people who work there like Tatdym, Aiden, Madison, Vashti & Eliza (just to name a few). They have all made shopping at this store a truly friendly and enjoyable experience. I rarely go anywhere else.

Best grocery shop in town. If ever in produce ask for dias he's di guy!

With grocery prices through the roof, it's very nice to have a neighbourhood grocer that provides quality products at great prices. No need to pay for fancy overhead in your groceries! Always something on special and with prices that are hard to beat.

Great St Thomas store. Good prices, very courteous staff.

Called store yesterday looking for a product I purchased a few weeks ago. It was in special bin but dairy department told me it was a regular product. Stopped bye today and was able to talk to employee and find product. Thanks for taking the time to help. As usual store was clean, and all employees especially cashier were very pleasant.

This is an EXCELLENT STORE to shop at. I use a MOBILITY SCOOTER and the aisles are WIDE ENOUGH that I can do ALL of my shopping from my SCOOTER. This store is CLEAN & OFFERS EXCELLENT PRICES for your daily needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store to everyone, because the STAFF ARE FRIENDLY & HELPFUL for a CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my go to grocery store in town. Their prices are so reasonable and I like their meat and produce sections. I find that they have a few more international food items than some other stores in town. I just wish they had longer hours since they close so early at 8.

Great customer service and happy smiling faces everywhere I go! The prices aren't too bad, compared to Freshco, and I find the milk can be cheaper at other stores. Otherwise, I like scoring good deals here and they also have delicious cheesecake for sale, right near where you first walk in.

I live this Food Basics location. While the products are the same in every location, the staff here are amazing! I've never met a friendlier group of employees. There is always a great associate at the door helping with carts, who is very sociable and very friendly! I love coming to this location!

I like their prices, regardless of all the grocery stores are getting pricier every day. They do offer fresh fruit and vegetables!. Pleased with quality and good choices of meat.

As been a great addition to this city. Always clean when I go in and the service has always been great. Prices are good if they are on sale. (But thats like any grocery store) just know your prices. Bonus points for being in the west end and close to home !

Thanks so much for being caring, I'm medically mask exempt and I'm finding it harder to shop now that stores are independently going against the bylaws set out by officials. However, food basics made me feel at ease to shop and have a not to ask others to be kind to though exempt. This can make such a huge difference to people. Thank you!!

Great prices ,considering the additional costs of transportation these days. Super friendly and helpful man at the checkout. It has definitely become my go-to place for groceries.

My cashier even made sure to bag up my pre-cooked chicken extra because it’s full of HOT chicken juices

Great option for affordable groceries in St Thomas. Lots of parking available.
There are a couple things that make this grocery store a great option.
1. You don’t need a quarter for the carts.
2. It’s clean.
3. Line ups are small.
I find it to be the best option for bargain prices, good deals weekly, on everything including meat. Good selection of meat and presented well. You can also get cooked chickens here as well.
