Yonge's Grocery Store

Small store..bit great variety of products...and the owner is very nice and helpful...don't take credit card...does not except...debit or cash only...overall not to much inconvenience...bit I guess he pays more to each credit card company for using a machine that works with the banks..

Went for the Bitcoin machine...didn't know you needed cash...ATM next to it didn't work... RBC across the street. Completed my transaction.😁

The eldest gentleman is a pretty friendly person. Some things are a bit pricy in the store but that’s usually how convenience stores are. Wish they allowed tap for debit and credit cards. Would encourage the other employees to be a bit more friendly.

Came here to report on the clerk’s rudeness, found a bunch of reviews saying exactly the same thing. I went in, looked around for a while, couldn’t find a single item I needed (this is NOT a grocery store, despite the name) and headed out, only to be called out by the clerk, who had both eyes in my Dollarama bag. After much staring I simply opened my bag for him to see. When he was satisfied that I wasn’t a thief, I closed my bag and left, never to return again. You’ve been warned.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a so called “grocery store” when it might as well be a convenience store. The cashier had the worst attitude and continued to look at me as I was shopping. PS. Nobody wants to steal your items that you’re clearly overcharging.

Never paid attention to a convenience stores reviews until this one. Listen to these reviews please don’t give this dude business. The middle age Asian guy is so rude. Wish I could do negative ratings

The clerk was a Asain male very rude and mad for no reason, I felt so bad like what made you behave like this :(
Do not go to this convenience store, just walk one street down the one beside Osmows has way better selection and customer service is very good,

I went there twice for groceries/snacks; it was the same middle-aged guy - I gave some benefits of doubt when he came across as somewhat impatient and taciturn, thinking maybe he is not a native speaker (or maybe he wasn't in a good mood). But my second visit simply reinforced all my negative impressions about him as a cashier and a customer service front for the store. Incredibly rude and awkward guy, I would sincerely hope the owner let him go as apparently he finds the job more miserable than eating dirt.

Visited one morning recently, not being greeted first is totally fine, but after saying good morning 3 times, there was NO response. Cashing in a ticket, asking how much was won, not being able to remember, the owner looks at me and says I don't have money.
This is definitely not a place I will ever be going back to. If you cannot greet someone with simple RESPECT, do not own a store like that.

Made the mistake of walking in. Clerk behind the desk is extremely rude, acting as though it’s a crime for me to look around the shop.

No customer service skills. Rude. Outside smoking all the time. Unresponsive. No people skills whatsoever. I attempt to make a purchase. Saying hello to the clerk, no response. Asking the clerk how is day is, no response. I ask him if he has had a long day, no response. He tells me my total and is more then happy to take my money.i ask him why he is not talking to me. He begins to yell for me to get out of the store. I guess it was because I interrupted his smoke break.

Terrible customer service. Asian man was rude and spat in my face. Dont go to this store! Karens convenience is right down the corner (its worth the extra walk)!!!!!!!!

The most overpriced buy-n-go in Streetsville. Also, the staff were rude, but honestly I'm more concerned scammy costs. There's another place around the corner, and one down the street. Unless you're desperate, I recommend literally anywhere else

No credit cards, ATM machine broken = no business. I feel bad for the locals that this is one of their only options.
