Bought a 16TB Red Pro on Black Friday. Delivered in Few days and works perfectly. I always trust WD when it comes to hard drive reliability.

Weird seeing so many bad reviews on WD products. I have been in the IT profession for many years, by far the best products. The WD Black is far superior quality. I have bought 200 of these drives over the years. I had to RMA only one and the process was very simple and easy.

1. Not recommend WD. Wery bad customer service and warranty.
2. Bought 2 WD red Pro 16tb on sale. 1 is broken. Returned 6 Feb. and still haven't received a replacement. The service repeats the same excuses (24-48-ready to ship-we are waiting for UPS to pick it up, etc.). That's why NO.

Im very disappointed at WD.
I bought a WD hard drive and within 12 months it broke and wiped my computer clean. (Unrecoverable)

Emailed WD, no refund they said but will replace it with a new hard drive. I told them I do not want this hard drive again. I got this response from WD:

Dear andre
Thank you for your reply. We always remain committed to quality and reliability as our top priorities. We will provide you WD Red 2.5" SSD as the replacement drive.

Today I got the hard drive back and it was not what I was promised I got back the model that broke…

I’m not happy at all with WD.
I had to spend $160 to reinstall and $100 to by a new hard drive.

Very bad customer service. Terrible warranty process. I had to RMA a WD Black D50 Dock w NVME. The dock failed after less than a year of mild usage. I would expect a $600 gaming dock to last longer than a year. I have been waiting 2 months now for its replacement. Everyone I have spoken with calls it a Harddrive and assures me it is on the way but sits in reviewing status on the site. Very unhelpful and short responses. Will not be using any Western Digital services again. Warranty services are really bad. Disappointing...

Ordered 400$ worth of hard drives at the end of november. Was supposed to be delivered on the first week of december but delivery date keep getting pushed until tracking just said no delivery date available and that it was in a safe facility. Haven’t received anything and its now the 3rd of January.called UPS and they were of no help. Called Western Digital and they would neither replace my order or redund me and insisted they needed to go through the claim process with UPS. Only received them at the end of January. Avoid ordering from them.

80% of my WD green drives are dead a year or two after their warranty expired. These drives were used for offline backups. There were usually turned off. Garbage products.

Recently they supposedly had a "price error," so I ordered a 16TB gold drive. I was hoping maybe I have better luck with their gold drives. A few days later they cancelled the order and gave me a 25% coupon. Even applying the coupon on their website, it's still more expensive than the regular prices on other online retailers.

At least for me, there's really no reason to ever buy WD products again, or suggest them to family and friends.

STILL WAITING FOR MY ORDER PLAVED NOV 26! WD was quick to accept the payment but can't seem to figure out how to deliver the order... terrible customer service and have been promised call backs several times and nothing. DO NOT ODER ONLINE FROM WD!

Update: Given your reply, that is why I will never purchase WD products again.

I ordered 02 ssd sn850 with 57$ each on Western Digital (WD) website when WD had promotion on Oct 17 2021. After 4days, I received a cancelation email that they canceled my order because their “pricing error”. That reason is ok for me, but the way they email without any apology is so rude. It is impacted my mental and made an extremely bad experience when shopping on WD website. I can not believe that WD, which is considered one of the biggest HDD company, treated their customers rudely like this.

Pricing error, then cherry picked orders to cancel and honor. Some of the same orders were fulfilled while others with the exact same items were cancelled. WD should be answering as to why some are being cancelled for a "price error" while other are still receiving the exact same order under that same exact price

Price error is one thing, that's understandable to cancel orders for that. Choosing which to cancel and which go through without an explanation is not, you can't segregate customers from a sale by what seems to be absolutely random metrics

Purchased 4 16TB Gold's that were on sale on their webstore to have them only ship one and claim it was a "price error".

Unfortunately I needed at minimum 2 to have redundancy on my NAS.

I'll be selling the single drive i purchased and will buy some others through a more reliable seller.. i'm still waiting for a refund on my credit card..

Get any other brand other than WD/Sandisk; garbage company. Falsely advertised price, then they cancel your order and say it's a 'price error', and give you a 'coupon' that makes the price still higher than from every other retailer out there. This company has gone down the drain. Avoid at all costs.

Fun fact! WD actually stands for We Deceive!

WD will bait you by advertising products on sale, harvest your data, and then will cancel your order after a few days by claiming a "Price error, " but will ship the same order out to others at the same price.

They have had my RMA received for 14 business days so far and no updates or anything shipped out as replacement when their own website says "Standard RMA: 5 - 7 business days once received. Terrible service. I have no clue what is going on. May be my last ever WD purchase.

They lure you in with sale prices then cancel your order 4 DAYS later without so much as an apology. They will then give you a 25% discount code that returns items to their regular price meaning you actually save more money by not using it in the first place. Very unprofessional, they seem out of touch with their customers.

I wish I could go lower. Their support staff sucks, their RMA sucks, their drives suck. I broke my hard drive (totally my fault) and when I requested an RMA, it took me a week of constant calling (4+ hours a day, not kidding) to get a new drive sent to me. The new drive was rectified which is refurbished, I told them and he said they're two different things (which they're really not). The new drive I got, broke, so another week of calling and I get a new one, and in less than a month, this new drive has broken.

I like their products it is much much better than all other products in the market. The WD DL4100 is one of their best product they say. But there is a huge problem with the new update. Before we had the automatic backup option to a USB, but now they removed the automatic backup option, this way someone has to wake up at 2am at night and log in to the NAS and click a button to take your data backup to a USB or you have to pay to a cloud backup service provider like Amazon S3 or Elephant to do the automatic backup all your drives. Because I really care for my business data and backup is very important for me. They dont give you a free automatic backup on the DL4100 model NAS. Other than this issue, everything else on their product is super and I am one of their support at all sides. I give them one star because they delete the option which I paid originally for it. If they bring this option on their coming update i will differently change this to 5 star. If you care about your data this product not recommended at all. I recommend Seagate NAS Pro, it comes with 2 Bay, 4 Bay and 6 Bay. It does have the automatic backup and even more options which DL4100 does not even have it.

Absolutely horrible experience with an external drive. Support told me the problem was the cable. I replaced the cable and still a problem. Then they told me it was the port. Support was non-existent.

They recently had a sale so I placed an order. 4 days later they cancelled it with no apology. What a waste of time. I missed out on several other deals because of this.
