Silver Bean Cafe

A true gem of peterborough. Partner and I biked to the cafe today for some ice cream then ate it while looking out onto the water. Cafe food is always tasty, can definitely be some smaller portions especially considering the cost but everything is freshly made to order. What a great spot.

We came late and the kitchen was closed. So we just ordered ice cream and enjoyed it. View is amazing!

Great a place to have lunch. The salad and sandwich option are well priced and very generous. Gorgeous views and a fantastic place to sit by the water. I would highly recommend the Silver Bean Cafe.

Wow! Amazing spot by the river. Food was delicious, my iced mocha was perfect. The beet salad is my favourite.

This is such a great place to stop with good coffee and food and you can sit outside on a large veranda overlooking the river. WiFi is good too. You can park free on weekends or free for one hour at the underground parking garage a 3 minute walk away along the river. Very picturesque.

We liked everything about this place! Ice cream in the evening and breakfast in the early morning! Come earlier for breakfast to avoid long lines and enjoy the food with a relaxing atmosphere.

We waited a while for our food, but the cafe made it right without us mentioning the delay. The staff were very friendly. Everything was very fresh with generous portions. Dog friendly patio. Prepare to park slightly off-site (very short walk).

Visited the silver bean cafe for a quick breakfast and ended up spending over an hour just sitting by the lake.

We tried their eggs and toast, cilantro burrito, coffee and hot chocolate. The food is simple and pleasant to have - but the ambience and the location help it transcend to the next level.

If you have some time and would want to enjoy the sun before they close for winter this is a definite to visit place.

Great little coffee place with a nice selection of ice cream. The sitting area next to the water is breathtaking. One thing I have to mention is that the area is crowded with homelessness.

Such a pretty spot in town and good food too. It's the local go to for ice cream, or a good drink of strawberry lemonade. Sandwiches are good too, so definitely worth it for lunch.

Excellent cafe on the water with generous healthy portions for breakfast/lunch. The staff are super friendly and their patio is pet friendly!

Such a great spot for relaxing by the water in downtown. The food was fresh and very delicious. Lots of space to hang out with friends, or to just enjoy solo. I’ll be back for sure !

The food is delicious! A variety of options for all preferences and restrictions. The coffee tastes better than anywhere else as the scenic views of Little Lake bring out the flavours to perfection. A must visit!

We absolutely love Silver Bean. The breakfast is actually homemade and their Americano and Cappuccino was divine! The location is out of a post card, right on the water and so peaceful. Excellent service and delicious food. We got ice-cream afterwards which was also top-notch. PISTACHIO ALMOND!!

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. You can't get any better than dining on the river -- such a fantastic vibe. They have good menu options including vegetarian choices... And, superb Customer Service.

Best mango ice cream! The view is truly picturesque whatever the season.

Such a beautiful place to sit on the patio and enjoy the outdoors. Staff are amazing and friendly. The sesame chicken salad and strawberry lemonade were my favourites 🥰 great coffee too.

Closed now for the winter. Beautiful outdoor cafe beside Little Lake.
