The Spot Restaurant

Great place for breakfast. It was so busy on Saturday morning, but they got us a table in about 20 minutes. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I grabbed a couple of butter tarts for the road and they were also great. We wanted to stay for lunch too!

What a fantastic place to eat at. The service was excellent, the food absolutely delicious and the prices very reasonable! Would revisit in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, no room left for dessert! 😥

Best breakfast place in town. Wait staff are great, we've been 3 times this year so far and can't wait to go again. French fries are 10/10

We had a great experience at The Spot. Our waitresses really kind and friendly. I had one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had in a restaurant.

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast one Sunday morning after being in a weekend bonspiel while visiting Mount Forest. The special was Eggs Benedict (my fav!) and it was excellent! I substituted regular bacon and the eggs were perfectly cooked with a creamy, flavourful hollandaise sauce. Really enjoyed the home fries as there were a lot of crispy pieces mixed in. The service was fast, friendly and efficient and overall just a nice find. It would be a regular place to go to if I was local!

Great customer service, they served me in a timely fashion. Food was delicious with good portions and cost reasonable.
No wonder why the call it The Spot Restaurant.

Best Gluten free Club sandwich, the Fish and Chips didn't fall apart which is a bonus, thr chicken ceasar club wrap was a hit, the kids love the grilled cheese and chicken fingers. Will definitely be back

I live in Alberta and every time I go back for visit I stop here...I remember this place as a kid when it was the Dew Drop and then to The Spot...there is a reason why the building still stands...family atmosphere...family food and family service

Great place for breakfast (probably other meals too, but I usually go for breakfast). Staff are friendly and food is always quick!

Food was really delicious! Meals were good size portions and reasonably priced! Their french fries were awesome and their deep fried pickles are incredible!

We happened upon The Spot heading home on a windy autumn day. The food is classic diner staples, hot and filling, all the hits. Whatever you do, you have to make sure you save room for PIE. OMG. That was the finest, most delicious, largest slice of pecan pie I've ever been served in a restaurant! The crust was buttery and perfect, the filling was obviously homemade, so so tasty. In fact, skip everything else and just get two slices of pie. Oh and the coffee was very good!! And went well with the pie!!

Food and service were great, but I was cold sitting at my table.

This is THE place to stop at on your way to Owen Sound....family....friendly...great food!!!!! Best prices ever!

Words fail as I write this, the food was so good. I was told it's all locally sourced and I believe it! It had flavour, it was filling, it tasted so good the rest of my day was filled with the memory of that breakfast! The staff were friendly and on the ball. I saw the bottom of my coffee cup, but only as a fleeting glimpse before it was refilled (so the coffee-creamer-sugar ratio was never off balance).
Over all, I can't wait to go back. Well worth the trip to Mount Forest.

Just a minute away from the drive thru alley but do it ! You get to sit down , the food is made fresh and the prices are really good. The desserts looked good but I was too full to endulge.

The clubhouse was great and had actual roast turkey, not deli sliced meat. Partner really enjoyed the huge chicken Caesar wrap. Mackey mouse pancake and pizza fingers get 2 thumbs up from the kids.

Stopped in for the breakfast special and it was great. I especially liked the way the hash browns are served and you can add onion if you desire. Will eat at this Spot again...
