Prado Cafe

This is a very unique cafe.

Perfect spot for casual meeting, dates, etc.

The space is clean, quiet.

The staff is super friendly.

Most importantly, the coffee tastes really good.

So far the best coffee in Surrey! My flat white was made with good quality coffee beans and the aroma was perfect! A really cool ambience as it’s inside the hotel building, a very good spot to work from. It’s alongside of the Surrey Central sky train station.

Cafe has a very nice ambience. Staff is good and friendly. Ordered Butter Croissant and grilled cheese sandwich with london fog and English breakfast. Everything was good, sandwich was full of cheese!

One of the best coffee shops in the lower mainland bar none. Cozy atmosphere inside the brand new Civic Hotel right in downtown Surrey, located literally next to the brand new 78,000 sq ft City Library, new Surrey City Hall, and newly renovated Surrey Central Station with direct access to downtown. Coffee and breakfast is top notch, as was the excellent service. Free WiFi and washroom available for customers. Highly recommended!

I ordered a medium roast Congo Kiva beans online yesterday, and when I got to the coffee shop in Surrey today, the barista there told me that it was sold out. It is unfortunate as I was looking forward to try the beans from Congo as they are not easy to find in lower mainland. The barista who was working there was very friendly and patient. She offered me different solutions and to try a sample of the Costa Rica beans. I ended up picking the ones from Guatemala instead. I hope Prado could keep the website up-to-date so it doesn’t confuse the customers and put the barista in challenging situation.

Relaxed, glassed-in modern space to enjoy our drinks. We had an Americano Misto, a London Fog and a Matcha Latte. They were delicious! So were the Magic Bar and the Breakfast Cookie. Looking forward to a return visit!

happy to see the turquoise cups in surrey. the space is beautiful & open. had their mocha with almond milk and "the prado breakfast" (poached egg, mint pea avo, arugula) which was fresh and came in a timely manner.

Lovely place inside the Civic plaza Kwantlen. Coffee and tea were good. Food were decent. The place has nice fancy seating with nice windows all around.

Coffee spot in lobby of The Civic Hotel. Espresso was divine, I had a perfect Cortado. Love the design of this lobby and lots of places to chat, work or meet people.

I drive all the way from Burnaby to come here. I love the vibe and the setting. The coffee shop is new and the open concept design within a pretty luxe hotel is fab.

The Prado staff is relatively friendly; the coffee is on point; their menu items both for breakfast and lunch are delicious and healthy.

Bonus points for laptop plugs and ample space to work, and no traffic noise because of the brilliant location.

Located in hotel lobby. Very nice staff, coffee was done excellently. Got a cafe latte and an iced coffee to go. They have milk alternative options which is great. Would come back again.

Late Post: My go to for coffee and cookies! Always a great option. Fast and friendly service.

I'm pleased to find a cafe a stone's throw from my home that caters to what this area of Surrey could be instead of wallowing in what it used to be.

I only briefly stopped in to suss out their menu on my walk and ordered a flat white. With dark nutty notes and low acidity, I'm walking home devastated it is only available in an 8 ounce.

I haven't been able to find a nice coffee place since I had to move to the area a bit over a year ago, and it actually lifted my spirits a bit walking into such a chic and quiet space. I'll definitely be returning.

[Edit] I went back the next day and ordered the proscuitto and ricotta toast with arugula and a poached egg. The egg was overdone but the flavour was fantastic and the pricing very reasonable. I paired it with a pink beet latte - creamy is the only note I could pick up on, but it paired well with my late lunch.

Who knew? I have sat on the plaza many times providing first aid to events. But a space to gather and quietly talk with good coffee and great pastries. Wonderful!

It's great to see an upscale coffee shop across the bridge from Vancouver! Great coffee, delicious lunch and pleasant/friendly staff - all in a beautiful, modern and open setting. It's also a perfect spot for studying and work, with plugs available and very faint background music.

PARK IN FRONT 5min free pickup**. Prado makes good use of 49th Parallel Coffee, making excellent 5⭐ espresso drinks. Great vegan…black bean brownie. Awesome barista service. **between City & University bps off central Ave. Free 5 min X 5 spots. Right in front of Prado. Almost as fast as a drive through! 🚗 🚙 ☕

Must try their hot chocolate before the end of winter season. The café inside of the civic plaza/hotel, right at the corner of kpu entrance. Employees are so kind and helpful. There wasn’t too much sweet options. It appears like a school canteen to me since the local and the affordable prices.

Lovely coffee shop in the area, one of the best in Surrey. It's not as loud as some other coffee shops and their patio is really nice to chill or get some work done. Food quality is quite food and the price is reasonable for the quality. times Their lattes are not hot enough, soemtimes lukewarm. Be sure to ask for extra hot if you prefer it that way.
