Ethos Cafe

One of the nicest coffee shops I’ve been in. If you’re into specialty coffee, this is the spot to go here. The avocado toast was also super unique and heckin’ good. I feel like smaller towns lack specialty coffee a lot of the time, so this was really nice to have. 12/10 YES.

The coffee was the best we have had in Golden. Good espresso! Excellent customer service. The food was elegantly served. Parking was easy even when they were busy. 10/10 would recommend.

The chicken sandwich was so delicious and finishing off with a fabulous cappuccino and outstanding chocolate mousse pastry. Will definitely come back. The service was welcoming and friendly.

Definitely one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had on my west coast road trip from Toronto. The vibes was electric inside and super welcoming. I had the chicken honsedalat sandwich which was soooo good. I’d order a second one if I had room. My iced americano was spot on (it’s a simple drink but you’d be surprised how easy it’s to mess up) and I ordered a lime raspberry tart to go. I am definitely coming back tomorrow for breakfast or lunch!

Best Croque Monsieur I’ve had. The latte is delicious as well. This will be my regular breakfast and coffee spot in Golden. Also, they have water bowls and a sturdy railing to tie up dogs.

My partner and I make sure to visit Ethos café whenever we're in Golden and you should too! There coffee programme was wicked. We had a very tasty natural Ethiopian espresso from Holm Coffee and a banging Colombian drip from Rooftop. On the shelf they also had retail bags from Dose Coffee and Alternate Route, so safe to say the selection of coffee to grab is on point!

The food was not only delicious, but filling as well. Proper, proper value. You can tell this team cares and everything being local is the cherry on top. Local mushrooms, local greens and local hot sauce. My mushroom on toast was top notch and my partner loved her avo toast which thankfully, was no ordinary avo toast.

Service was with a smile, everyone seems to appreciate the space and if you're a family with a young one you'll feel very comfortable bringing your kid in as these people go above and beyond for families.

Last but not least.. if you don't leave with a sourdough and croissant, you're doing it wrong!

We spent a week in Golden and visited Ethos every morning, coffee is excellent, food is full of flavour.....you can't go wrong with any menu selections! A must try is the almond croissant, don't miss out they are one of a kind.
Easily one of the best cafes we visited while in Canada. Worth the stop!
Staff are lovely and outdoor view of the mountains is perfect while enjoying your coffee.

This place rocks. Don't even think about skipping this place when you come to golden. The food is out of this world and everything is made in house. The owner is very knowledgeable and a awesome dude. 11/10

Such a cute little coffee shop! I got a chai latte and a sour dough loaf and they were both soo delicious. Everything looked clean and the style of the restaurant was nice. The staff was busy making food, drinks and serving customers and they made sure everyone was taken care of. They have a nice patio in front of the store. The bakery items looked yummy. I would definitely come here again.

Super cute spot! The fresh baked bread is incredible and the coffee from Fernie is delightful! Highly recommend before a good ski day!

Fantastic coffee and amazing baked goods. The croissant was to die for. It's also staffed by the friendliest people. Definitely one of the most enjoyable coffee shop experiences we've had. This should be top of your coffee list if you're in Golden!

Found this spot on Google and absolutely pleased that we did. This cute, modern eatery/coffee shop is located inside what looks to be in a relatively brand new apartment complex, and it not only serves coffee/tea, but also an eclectic variety of food.

We ordered a bowl of cream of pumpkin soup, beef kefta sliders, a pesto chicken sandwich, and a soy iced chai. Everything was absolutely delicious! The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors all melded well together.

We were also blown away by the presentation -- after all, we eat with our eyes first. You can tell whoever's in the kitchen cares about the smallest of details, which customers who are foodies like us, truly appreciate!

They also make their bread in-house -- bonus points! The soy iced chai was yummy. I'm sure their coffees are just as great.

Service from the owner himself was excellent. He is friendly, communicative, and seemed like an all-around happy guy. He’s got a welcoming spirit about him.

Go support local, and grab a bite to eat at this hidden gem!

We spent 8 days in the beautiful town of Golden and were directed to this cozy restaurant by our daughter. It had delicious coffee and one of the best Chai lattes I have ever had. The bakery goods are locally made and delicious, and there are a few gluten-free options, too. Joel, the owner, and his chef provide a delicious menu full of healthy choices.

Passed by Golden on our vacation through the Rocky Mountains and stopped for breakfast at Ethos Cafe. Excellent coffee and the food was outstanding. Espresso infused granola with fresh blueberries and yoghurt. Breakfast roll consisting of hearty slices of sharp cheddar and bacon with a beautifully cooked egg scramble. We took some scones and a dessert to go. 5 star all the way. Service was excellent. This is a must stop food and coffee destination on your tour through beautiful BC and Alberta.

I had the vegan mushroom toast which was super yummy and my gf had the Breaky roll and she loved it. We both had drip coffee and it was really nice. We were also able to sit in their back patio which was in the morning sun. Service was great as well.

Golden is a better place to live thanks to this wonderful cafe! Best coffee ever, great teas! And all the food is delicious, I have never been disappointed here! And the attention to detail, high quality ingredients and the amazing staff and owners make your visit here unforgettable!

Wow, what a gem. Absolutely top tier coffee and food. I had one of the best soy lattes of my life. I also had the chicken sandwich on gluten-free bread. Delicious, and a very filling portion.

Lovely place and really friendly staff/service. Great place to stop for some healthier alternatives. This place is definitely going to become my go-to spot when passing by Golden!
