The Avocado toast is incredible! 10/10 Sooo many layers of flavor. Only reason this is not a 5 star review is that the other two vegan menu options were not available.

Nice coffee, snacks, super friendly staffs and a warm like home spot. We would like to try more foods on our next trip!

Arrived just 10 minutes before closing and greeted very warmly . They explained that it would be take out only ( which we were fine with ) and said the chef would make anything on the menu . She took her time to answer our questions and explain the menu. Best ham sandwich I ever had . The yak sub was amazing . GREAT service . Great food . Highly recommend!

A great place to eat with a lovely staff, not too pricy, vegan option, a large choices of drinks.
You can either grab something to eat in the cafe or grab a lunch in the restaurant part.
The space is a bit tiny but it is taille great and calm.
I can only recommend the place 🙂

Food portions were large, hot, and satisfying. The star was the pumpkin spice oat latte: it was the BEST PSL I've ever had - tasted like pumpkin pie in a cup!!

The pumpkin spice oat latte was oh my god too good! Had the tomato bacon melt panini, and the carrot ginger soup, everything was perfect! Cozy cafe with very friendly baristas and bosses, was almost wearing the same top as the lady boss and that got us chatting for a long time. A must-go in Golden!

I'm pretty hard to impress in the dining world and this was by far the Very Best experience I have had in a long time. . Pure deliciousness! Chicken Supreme with a little surprise of cashew/? pesto. A bit of perfectly pureed sweet potato balanced with a salty herbed baked stuffing. Super creative and fantastic from start to finish. Hands down, the best place to dine in town.

Absolutely love the small town Cafe feel. Beautiful interior. The service was amazing, super friendly. The food was definitely to write home about. I had the Bison breakfast sandwich and it melted in my mouth!! 😍

I recommend the 3 course deal for $40CAD. Delicious food which is very well presented. Nice vibe in the restaurant and excellent service!

We were lucky enough to be in the area for a few days, so this quickly became our go to. We had dinner one night and both chicken and steak was delish! The next morning we tried breakfast, sampled the teas, and loaded up on the incredible baked goods (seriously the best!). Staff were so lovely, and the atmosphere cozy, I can't wait to go back!

Papa bears is one of my favourite daily stops i get To make. All the staff are super friendly and wonderful , coffee is great and their half Sammy soup special is amazing! The chicken pesto is so tasty. A new favourite is an iced vanilla latte and their yummy bacon cheese and egg breakfast Sammie’s . 10/10 recommend

What a precious find in golden. Loved the sandwiches, salad and potatoes. Stopped by because of the 5* reviews will be back because the food was so fresh and tasty.

Their Local Specials deal at their new El Woods restaurant is the best thing in town. I was pretty much full after the appetizer.

The pork belly I chose for a main reminded me of how my grandfather cooked it (this is a good thing) and the brownie for dessert was the best thing I have put in my mouth for a long time.

Do yourself a solid and check this place out.

Such a wonderful space and amazing food! Everything was reasonably priced, portions were large and you can tell the quality of the ingredients and everything freshly made! The staff were so friendly and accommodating!
Would very warmly recommend!!

I travel on the road a lot and I stumbled across this restaurant after I meandered away from my usual haunts.
The food is absolutely sublime. I tried the crispy chicken and potato skins and they were absolutely amazing.
Golden has a real treasure with this restaurant and I highly recommend!

We decided to explore a little further afield from our Banff base and we’ve always fancied a drive to Golden. Googled somewhere to eat for breakfast/brunch and Papa Bears came up as a well rated eatery.
This place did not disappoint. The veggie omelette came with crispy bacon and fried potatoes &toast. I sometimes find that this combo can be greasy but it was light and filling. Hubby had the bison patty with homemade tomato soup. He exclaimed how wonderful the soup was and the bison was gamey but very tasty. The coffee was really good too.
If ever we’re around this way we will definitely be back!

Searched Google in the area for a good meal and this restaurant exceeded expectations. The flavour, quality and presentation were outstanding. The best egg bennedict ever. The flavourful bun, egg and sauce. Definitely will be back
