La Vieille École - Resto sur Mer

I highly recommend Resto Restaurant to everyone who visits Nova Scotia. It is arguably the best seafood (and also comfort foods) restaurant in Nova Scotia. The chef cooks irresistible gourmet seafood (Acadian cuisine) for his clients. The prices are very reasonable and fair for gourmet Acadian chef-cooked foods. I will definitely return to this restaurant in a heartbeat without any hesitation when I visit Nova Scotia again. Two thumbs way up!

We are traveling by Sea Kayak and found this spot along the way. What a wonderful location for a meal and a break. Food was very good. You could taste and see the effort put into it. Staff was kind and all where entertained by our trip. The owner came out and exchanged stories with us. He gave his number saying any issues or needs while in Novs Scotia just call!

Wonderful meal in a lovely restaurant. Some really nice menu items to go back and try for sure. The lobster in a pastry shell was very tasty and packed full of lobster. The shrimp, scallops and haddock was also very tasty too.

Great restaurant, delicious food at reasonable prices, friendly efficient service in a delightful atmosphere with an awesome view! FYI if your looking for authentic rapure it’s made from scratch, no potato blocks here folks and it’s evident in the taste and consistency. We’ll definitely put this on our list of preferred dining locations!

I had a great meal here recently - mussels in white wine to start were amazing and the Key Lime pie was also great. My partner had the seafood crepe for main and very much enjoyed that too. My only mild criticism was the seafood linguini was a little too creamy taking away from the seasoning and quality seafood. Overall though, I highly recommend

I happened to be driving through Belliveau's Cove on a beautiful summer day in August 2020 and noticed this wonderful old school which is now a restaurant.
I was so happy to see the inside and how it has been changed into a charming restaurant with a wonderful view.
I ordered the lobster roll and I must say it was the best one I have eaten in my lifetime. Filled with big chunks of lobster meat, the right amount of mayonnaise all in a toasted bun. It was so good.
The staff/owners were very friendly, the service great, a beautiful view and the food was delicious. It was a happy place. I only wish they were closer......but I will return again.

This old school house has been transformed into a great restaurant. They do not use fryers and the food is fantastic with a great view of St. Mary's Bay! You must try the rappie pie!

Just opened. We had a seafood chowder soup, excellent, and a hot lobster dish served beautifully! This is definitely a restaurant to keep your eye on when in the area!!!

Fresh seafood cooked extremely well. Sit by the window if you can.

Agréable à tout égard. Il faut absolument y aller déguster les mets d'un grand chef. L'atmosphère est d'une paisible douceur comme la vue sur la Baie Sainte-Marie ainsi que sur le quai et son phare. Le décor marin de l'établissement est sublime.
