Classic mom and pop place. Had the mac and cheese and Johnny's wings. Both very tasty. Wish I had got the fish and chips as it looked like a banger.

Sweet Johnny cakes this place is delicious. We ordered off the lunch menu and our entire table was happy what they received. The waitress was lovely. One thing I am so sure of is the electronic pads the waitress used to enter our order. The food took quite awhile to come out and we didn't get everything we ordered. The drink that was missed was easily remedied but we end up paying for a poutine we did not receive. Just forgot to mention it when the bill came. All in all, small town Alberta this place is a gem.

Stopped in for breakfast here this am, and it has a great atmosphere, great service, and tasty food. I had the steak and egg special, and the steak was very tasty, eggs were perfectly over easy, rye toast was yum, and the hashbrowns were the best potatoes I've had lately. Definitely coming back.

My third time here and it has become my favorite place to eat. I just love the atmosphere and the food is absolutely incredible. They also offer brunch every Saturday and Sunday!! Get out and support local. The eggs Bennie was perfect and my wife had the best clubhouse she ever had. What are you waiting for?? Go today!!

Came in on Thursday and had their pizza and wings special. The gochujang bbq wings were so good, and a flavor we’ve never tried before. Their nachos are also loaded at a really reasonable price. Service was friendly. Overall would come again!

Cool place. Young dude serving us was fine and polite. My kids and I were the only guests at our time. I had a burger it was excellent, daughter had pouting it was excellent and huge. My son had nachos, also very good. I don't like here but I would totally demolish one of these burgers again when I'm in athabasca again! You should eat here the whole menu sounds appetizing.

Best restaurants in Athabasca and by a huge margin others are not even close. Food is really good, price are correct and the vibe of the restaurant (modern look) is clean, simple and nice. For the moment I haven't find a better place to eat even in other city such as Edmonton. Just give it a try and you will not regret it!

I’m not a big lover of burgers but decided to try one this evening n had johnnys burger n it was one of the best I have ever had .
Also had the calamari to start .. well that was also a wise choice .
One of the best I ever had . N plenty to a serving .
The server was only on her second day serving tables n what a beautiful job she done
I could tell she was nervous but my love there is no need to be nervous .. u have a beautiful smile n beautiful personality n that goes along way ! Kudos to u ! You done an amazing job .

We stopped by fluke bc the pics on Google maps looked good and it did not disappoint. There are fun games you can take to the table for the kids (that actually have all the pieces) like I spy, tic tac toe etc.
Service was great, friendly and fast.
Food was DELICIOUS, honestly the best burger and fries I had in ages. I wish I took a pic. Fries are hand cut and seasoning was addictive. Burger was homemade and juicy. Fresh lettuce and tomato with sauteed onions.
The lettuce wrap my daughter had on special was great. Good amount of chicken and not too much sauce. And my youngest had the kids chicken strips which was a good portion for kids.
Overall great experience, atmosphere is bright and clean. We are already talking about making the hour and 20 mins again on a day trip just to come back. Would eat here again for sure.

Renovated perfectly, probably one of the nicest places of business in Athabasca. Atmosphere is really comfortable and friendly. The staff are awesome and the food from their Red Seal trained chef is delicious!

We weren't super hungry so we opted for some appetizers to share. We ordered poutine that had excellent fresh-cut fries. The wings were nice and crispy (and flavor splitting wasn't a problem). But the best was the short rib yorkies - an unusual option for an appy! I'm a fan of yorkshire pudding and they were cooked to perfection, topped with tender beef and tasty gravy. It turned out to be a lot more food than we expected but was so delicious that we cleaned the plates! Even were tempted to share the chocolate brownie for dessert.

Wish I had taken pics to post. For sure next time as we plan to go back to try the amazing looking burgers and gourmet mac and cheese.

We aren’t from the area but decided to stop in for dinner as we were passing through town and we are so glad we did! Food was great, the vibe was lovely, and the service was fantastic. Our server was kind, friendly, and super prompt. Highly recommend and we will definitely make a point of coming back. 😊

Best breakfast in town. All the food is awesome. You get what you pay for.

There is clearly alot of effort being put into this establishment. The dishes arrive in a timely fashion while still being seasoned and cooked/roasted perfectly. The menus are tight and focused which is a boon because they do them soo well.

If you're in Athabasca and you don't eat here, you are missing out.

(The only negative thing I experienced was with the vents. Sometimes they would blow cold air and then 5 minutes later warm air.)

Awesome experience at Johnny's. Perfect place for a family outing or a take out pizza. Steak Sandwich was awesome. Also have an event room whish seem used alot!

Went to check it out and definitely wasn't disappointed! I had the short ribs and OMG! They were delicious!! Johnny came out and said they cooked it for 24 hours. It is so tender a fork is almost all you need. My bf had the fish and chips and the portion was huge, and his son had the tenders. I will add that he has fresh cut fries! A must for me. We will be back forsure!

The ribs and chicken were excellent portion sizes are good. Carrot cake was tasty. Ate here 3 nights with my dad and had 6 different meals and only the chili i found to be the outlier being only ok. Ceramic tea pots are also the way to go over the metal, having used both.

Stopped here on our way out of town, back home, and it was a pleasant surprise! The service was very friendly, the food was tasty, and the owner even came out to say hello and chat with us a bit. I'd come here again!
