Old fashioned service and the wait is well worth it with home made burgers & fries to match! Ice cream parlour at the adjoining window with that same old fashion hospitality & charm! Just kick back on the bench and soak up the sun, waves & warm sands!

We had such a lovely experience at the Beachside Cafe in Port Elgin last night. My husband and I took an evening walk on the beach there and spotted the cafe. We went over for an ice cream and they were just closing. However, the ladies there kindly stayed open long enough for us to buy our ice creams and they showed great care with my husband's lactose intolerance, offering him the best option. They were super friendly and kind and made our experience a great one!

Very tasty, good burgers. Nice beach location, we'll come back another time when we can stay and enjoy the beach.
Food took anout ten minutes longer than they said, but we weren't in a rush and it was worth it.

A must visit when at the main beach! The family who own it are lovely. The ice cream is top notch and the poutine is sooo good! Highly recommend trying Sour Power, Unicorn Toots and Grammys Cupboard ice cream flavours!

Burgers are good and the battered mushrooms are the best on the beach. Outside seating is available.

This family owned and operated establishment is the best place for service. They are so pleasant and want you to be happy. They go way above and beyond to make it a great experience. Incredible giving and caring. I would highly recommend.

Best French fries in the world. My family has been visiting Port Elgin and buying French fries from the Beachside Café for years, and honestly, we can't hype them up enough. The family sized portion is awesome. They also have great ice cream too! This place is a must if you're visiting Port Elgin's Main Beach.
