I bought some of the most exquisite Earl Grey tea here. I also got some parmesan crisps - the best! Will be returning to buy baby clothes for a new mama and maybe some candles for me. This place is awesome!

Excellent quality of produce, great prices for the quality and curation of groceries and other items. My favourite food shop in the area and the staff is always so friendly and helpful.

Just started shopping here in Lakefield! Love the food and the prices!! Super fresh greens to make nice salads! And chicken paddies too, because chicken sammiches are the best. My girlfriend and I have loved everything we have tried from the Market, and the staff is kind and well informed on their product too!

I love this store. The produce is the best I have seen anywhere and the selection of fine foods has been thoughtfully curated. Meats and cheeses are also excellent quality. The staff is welcoming and Lee and Denise are warm and knowledgeable.

The Market has outstanding service; Lee and Denise and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Lee is incredibly knowledgeable and is always available to answer any questions. The produce is of highest quality. The cheeses, meat, baked goods and ready to eat food that is prepared on site is also delicious. They have a wide selection of specialty items as well. I am so grateful to have this wonderful market available to shop at.

This has to be the best family owned shop in town. I have never walked into this store without being greeted with a kind smile. Lee (owner) is always freshening up the produce and greeting customers. Their knowledge on their products is amazing and they have the best produce in town including amazing avocados of which they ripen themselves on sight (Lee takes his Avocados very serious).

Honestly, this is my favorite grocery store. For its size, the selection is simply incredible. The produce and meats are not only fresh and often organic or free-range, but affordable. On price alone, it stands up to any foodland in the area (I’m being generous to foodland here...lots of stuff is actually less at the Market), and in quality, it holds its own against almost any organic/fine foods store in Peterborough, Ottawa or Toronto. Great olive oil and tomato sauces? Check. Great fresh sausages, steaks and cured meats? Check. Great local seasonal produce? Check. Cheese, canned goods, specialty sauces and herbs? Check, check and check. I’d like to recommend that everybody go there, but that would make it crowded, which it now never is. If you like cooking and eating good food, it does not get better, that I’ve seen, anywhere.

The best service, absolutely the highest quality produce and products in Peterborough and the Kawarthas. If you like to cook, THIS is the grocery store to go to! I've been shopping here for years and wouldn't ever go anywhere else!
