Riverside Resort & Bistro

We are lucky new neighbours to the resort/bistro. The owners are absolutely wonderful, very personable and great at what they do. The food…. The FOOOOD… is delicious! The reviews say the homemade burgers and fish and chips are great, that’s an understatement! Was there today for a lunch time Friday Junior beer and the fish and chips, it was incredible 😎 Thank you guys!

Visited this hidden gem this past weekend. Rented a bunkie on the river. It was the best time for me and my hubby. We enjoyed it so much we even stayed an extra night. The owners are amazing. Your experience being perfect is their goal The cabin is so sweet rustic, and is fully equipped with all you need. Beautiful queen size new bed fluffy pillows the sound of the river rushing and campfire crackling your only noise. This is a great place to Relax and Restore. There is a restaurant on site serving up amazing food especially the famous fish and chips! The restaurant is open year round you won't regret dropping by. I highly recommend this place although I'd like to keep it my secret getaway that would be unfair! You need to check this place out...Thank you Dave and Paula for a wonderful time🔥💕

I recommend the fish and chips as well as the cheese burger.

they have many covered outdoor tables and a few inside. they have a few lawn games by the lake and a little general store with the essentials.

We had such an awesome visit to the Riverside Resort. The location is so peaceful and beautiful- right on the river- and the food is DELICIOUS! I we had fish and chips. Be sure to order the coleslaw! They also have a great selection of ice cream. Can’t wait to go back.

Great little spot! We had the fish and chips, which were fantastic, and our kids had a chocolate milk shake, so yummy! The portions are very generous, and if you have room, we’d highly recommend a scoop of ice cream. Biggest scoops we’ve ever seen! If you’re in the area, definitely worth stopping by for a bite.

Awesome location adjacent to the river..friendly staff who are also working hard to transform the resort. Food is excellent .I had fish and chips which I highly recommend. Occasional live music and also it seems a weekly antique car show on the lawn..

Best fish wife has ever tasted, fries are very tasty and the burgers have flavour. Place is super clean, easy to get to and enough parking. Paula and Dave are super friendly and a joy to interact with. First time here but already planning to return next week.

Just had the best burger, I have eaten in years!!! Such a cute spot, and the owners were so friendly. Clean, comfortable, perfect little hidden treasure. I will definitely be going back, and I can't wait to go camping on the river this summer. Thanks for the great experience. The Deakins 😊

Dave and Paula are amazing additions to Crawford. The food is so good and the tartar sauce is the best I have ever tasted! We are definitely coming back often.

The place has a great feel, takes you back to the good ole days. Stopped in and had ice cream, single scoop was Big! Ftench Vanilla was nice and smooth, yummy!

Food is delicious and definitely get your moneys worth stop here frequently for fries and gravy . They also have the best wraps have ever had their huge and very tasty. Definitely recommend eating here.

Absolutely wonderful! Large portions delicious food and friendly service. Beautiful location too. The prices are very reasonable and a good variety so everyone should find something they like. .My family has been raving about the fish and chips so that is what we ordered today. They did not disappoint. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to our next visit!

My family and I have been visiting all summer and we were really looking forward to one last visit before we close our trailer for the season, which is nearby. We called the day before to find out what their hours were and we were warmly greeted on the phone by one of the staff who informed us that they would be open on Sunday. We had been anticipating our lunch all day and we were thrilled with the service and the food. It was hot and delicious as usual. It is always a pleasure to stop by this little hidden oasis to enjoy the scenery and the food. Our favorite is the fish and chips but anything on the menu is a good choice. Although we have a trailer nearby, we would definitely recommend anyone that does not have a trailer that comes to visit that this would be a lovely location for a day or two of rest and relaxation.

Heard about the great fish and chips from a friend. Tonight decide to check out as I love fish. All I can say is fantastic, 2 big pieces along with coleslaw and homemade tarter sauce. This tasty light batter covered the perfectly cooked fish.
The owners and staff are very friendly and have a pride of ownership. Great experience and will definitely come back.

Absolutely love this hidden gem! Beautiful camping areas, on a beautiful river. Clean bright bathrooms. A great variety of outdoor games for kids of all ages. The Riverside Bistro, is delicious. A great menu, with reasonable pricing, lots of options to choose from. The outdoor seating area is beautiful and so scenic! The owners are incredibly friendly and strive for excellent customer service and value the importance of family and community. highly recommend checking this place out and supporting this amazing business!

I came across this quaint campground on the river when looking for some accommodations. We arrived a little later than expected and the friendly owners Dave & Paula made sure to get us all settled before it was dark. The bunkie was everything we hoped for. It had a nice comfortable bed, heater to keep us warm, a great kitchenette plus a nice covered porch with a BBQ. The best part was that it sat very close to this flowing river where we enjoyed a nice campfire before bed and relaxed the next morning. It was a very beautiful campsite and so peaceful. You will see lots of reviews about the food so we had to try the fish & chips and we would rate it as one of the best we have had. Thanks for a perfect ending to our anniversary getaway. We enjoyed our stay and plan to be back with our kids.

These two are the best. Myself along with my two kids camped for three nights,We had a great time!! This spot was relaxing with things to do,the food at the bistro was awesome! We ate ice cream two out of three nights and topped it off with a very good sleep thanks to the river sounds. We can't wait to come back again!

If you prefer quietly camping beside a gently bubbling river listening to the birds this is the place to come!!
Rest, Restore, Replenish is their motto and this is an excellent place to do all three.
Dave and Paula are the ultimate hosts; so welcoming and friendly and ready to go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Whether you're looking for a great homestyle meal at the Bistro or having wood delivered right to your campsite you can't go wrong here!
Oh and the bathrooms are fantastic! Always clean and well stocked.
This was our second time here and it certainly won't be the last!

We went there last week and camped along the river and also ate at the bistro. The campsite was lovely and peaceful with the water gently running by. The river is very shallow, so safe for older children. Only about ankle deep at one end and waist-deep at the other end. The washrooms were nice and clean and the owners were very accommodating. The food was delicious! The best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Burgers were delicious too! Our friends stayed in the bunkie and it was nicely positioned along the river as well. I'd highly recommend camping/bunking and eating here.

We were just passing by to look at a trailer for sale when we noticed this little gem. The bistro served us a wonderful lunch of amazing hamburgers and fries. We took home some portion sized in house made squash soup and enjoyed it immensely . We took a look around the peaceful riverfront property and met the friendly new owners. Have stopped there twice to enjoy more bistro treats.

Excellent fish n chips. The coleslaw was light and not too vinegary. The cheeseburger was a two-hander, made with a homemade patty nestled between a fluffy brioche style bun. Beautiful setting, among the cedar trees and right next to the river. Definitely a hidden gem, that we're looking forward to visiting again.
