If you're looking for a hospitable and dog-friendly restaurant in town, Gilly's is definitely the place to be. They have an exclusive menu for dogs and genuinely care about the well-being of your furry friends.

Angela and Ann, the restaurant staff, also added to the welcoming atmosphere. They were very friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience was nothing but wonderful. The staff's kindness, along with the delicious food, makes Gilly's an ideal place to hang out with your family and friends while enjoying a great meal.

Anne was amazing and so wonderful! The food was super good! The pickerel was so moist and the batter was so light! The fish chowder was great! The cheese burger was so moist and juicy! This is definitely a place that I will be coming back to!

Decided to come here on a rainy day - ended up being a massive storm. Everyone had moved inside the restaurant so there was no room for walk-ins. Luckily the staff were extremely accommodating and moved tables around to some dry spots on the patio so we could stay for our meal.

Amazing food, great service, can't wait to go back. Will definitely be making a reservation next time if rain is in the forecast!

Gilly's has great fish and chips (I'd recommend the perch or the whitefish)! I've been going with family for several years and we keep coming back for a reason. The place itself has a really nice atmosphere but prices have risen in recent years so keep that in mind when you go!

2023 update: this place just keeps getting better, more outside seating options, service was amazing, always have a great time here. Burgers, Prime Rib and the fish all received praise from our group of 7.

Fantastic meal. Great escargot, and calamari, excellent Greek salad. Very nice old restaurant looking over the bay with really good food. About a 15 minute drive from Killbear Provincial park.

As with any great restaurant, there may be a bit of a wait but well worth it and you can hang out on the porch having a beer while you wait. Not what I expected from a little restaurant up here but amazing none the less.
On the menu they also have Chicken Fingers with the caption "not what you came for".

We came here in september and it was famous. We took fish and ship and they are the best around here!!

Absolutely love this restaurant! 2021 is the first year that they have been open into the thanksgiving Monday holiday and we were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner as we were not able to get out earlier.

We went for the fish and even though they did not have any more Georgian Bay Whitefish, we still enjoyed the pickerel. Very tasty, very well prepared. Escargot was amazing as well as the drinks we enjoyed from the bar.

We’ve been coming here for many years and we’ve never been disappointed - we always look forward to the the most excellent food and most excellent service. Thanks to Ryan our server tonight and Michel for getting us such a great table - our favourite corner booth to watch the boats and the sunset.

Due to COVID last year, we still enjoyed the fish and chips and had take out, but, the best is to relax and spend time at the restaurant with friends and family.

This is a beautiful local seafood restaurant! We had a great time here. The environment is very Canadian, and the food is delicious! Don't miss this experience if you like seafood. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

First time here. The comments speak for itself. Delicious food (best fish and chips, mussels and oysters), great service and location. Will definitely be returning soon!

Years ago I would have gave this restaurant a horrible review, but not anymore. Since covid that allowed them to expand their dining outside, and all the work the new owner has done to improve the place overall. Staff is absolutely great, we came here more times then I can count this summer, most times without reservations, and hardly every had a problem with getting a table. Food and friendly service was always great, only complaint was some of the pricing on the wine, just make sure you ask how much a glass is before you just blindly order it.

The menu was short and sweet, clean and easy to read. Absolutely amazing food. I got the whitefish tacos. The serving size was perfect. My parents got the pickeral and perch pan fried. Will definitely be back next year.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Waitresses were kind and always smiling.

Great place for cottagers and boaters.

There are no reservations and it's usually very busy, so come expecting a 30 minute or more wait, drinks at the bar await.

The fish was delicious, highly recommend the Pickerel 3pc pan fried. The fresh fish is soooo good. The Steak was a very good size too.

The maple cheesecake with dark maple syrup is something you HAVE to try for dessert. Sooooo light and delicious.

All and all I highly recommend Gillies, as a sailor I'll always aim to get here yearly when I pass through the area :)

The Blackened Whitefish Taco were outstanding. As was the pan fried lake trout. Be sure to call ahead (starts at 11:30 am) to place your order. They will give you a time when it will be ready. It was a 2 1/2 hour wait when we ordered at 2 pm. You can pick up and take out or eat your take out at their outdoor tables. They are selling beer and wine. They are trying hard during COVID to make it work. Be patient. But don’t miss stopping in!

While we go there every year this year the deep fried fish was overdone and the pan fried was under done - had 6 people and gratuity was automatically included on the bill and I was ever so grateful that the waitress point it out to me so we didn't' over tip. The Clamato Caesar Rimmed is to die for - so good and you can buy it below in the shop along with the smoked fish appetizer. The only suggestion I have is to have better Tarter Sauce, we made and brought our own, because, well, isn't fish a delivery system for the sauce?

This was a huge surprise, gluten free options and the fish was amazing. Very dog friendly with a menu just for them.

Ordered pan fried lake trout with ceasar salad and fries and it's delicious. Fish was cooked perfectly, salad was tasty and fries was crispy in the outside and soft in the inside and most specially its not greasy.

We had lunch at Gilly's....again. We rode seadoos from Honey Harbour. Awesome ride. We had a beer and battered pickerel. The pickerel and fries were very good. We will be back.

Lovely place, all the waiters were nice and making sure everything was ok! I had the I house smoked fish which was delicious!

Gorgeous Harbour! Well setup and maintained by the owner and their team with reasonable launching and docking fees. I wish I had a chance to try their delicious looking fish and chips but their ice-cream was divine after a long kayak.

Even on the long weekend, service was reasonable! Best fish we had all year, good fries, nice clean green salad pairs well with fish. Cute place, so glad they have a patio now.
