Our house sold ( the agent who worked for this broker ) conveniently failed to mention that their buyers did not have the funding, it was at the last hour of closing when we learned that they had no money. The real estate agent was irresponsible and the broker contacted me to apologize, asking what they could do to make this situation right - he actually spoke to me and I proposed what could make it right. Unbeknownst to me - he had another conversation with my closing lawyer who advised me to accept the refund - I did so, paying less commission. I received that extra money and it kind of helped me “ deal “ with the disgraceful tactics and debacle that this agent / broker perpetrated.The house did not close for two weeks with no guarantee during that extra time. I was literally begged by the broker not to keep the buyers deposit. Once my home closed and I received the extra commission- the broker stated it was a mistake that the amount was not what he agreed to with my closing lawyer - the one who advised me to take it.
This broker continuously threatened me with court proceedings for .5 percent = approximately 8 grand. He actually obtained a judgment - ( I did not attend court ). I paid that judgment reluctantly. They have actually made the judgment public even though it was paid immediately and even though they were ultimately responsible for the delays and many many issues surrounding delaying a closing with NO NOTICE. Today I have to go to court - appeal to set aside this ridiculous judgment and fight my case. Do not use this broker - you can not be sure of their ethics .
