Crow's Nest Hillsburn - Shore Road Seafood

Travelling with siblings on a road trip down memory lane this fall. On our first stop in Digby, we had heard that the meals at this place were fantastic so want to check them out ourselves.
Very fortunately we got in without a reservation and I’ll tell you we were not disappointed in the atmosphere, wonderful service and first rate seafood we experienced.
The scallop trio and lobster rolls ewe snarfed to wash them down were the best we’ve ever had. You won’t be disappointed… of course that is unless you forgot to make a reservation. 🤗

I was up in the area for work when I stopped in here for lunch, best clams I have ever had, friendly service as well.

Amazing amazing seafood, very reasonable prices, great decoration and very clean fascilities. A gem hidden away. We had the seafood platter which was super delicious with fresh cut home fries, the lobster club sandwich loaded with succulent lobster meat, the cup of chowder which was loaded and tasted so good that the cup of it alone was worth eating here. If there is a bad review forget about it as I can testify the best seafood I had period.

We would not have known about this place if it wasn't for a friend who lives in the area. Good, fresh, no nonsense seafood for reasonable prices.

My husband and I each enjoyed the most delicious seafood and wonderful service at this quaint, little restaurant. He ordered the hot lobster sauce with haddock filet and I had the seafood chowder with half lobster sandwich combo. We shared a slice of their specialty dessert - toasted coconut cream pie and it was fluffy and yummy. The seafood was very fresh and flavourful and our Server was friendly and professional. Honestly, we cannot wait to go back.

We were in Nova Scotia September of 2017 to look for a house to buy. While there friends treated us to a meal at your restaurant. I had the Seafood Chowder and what a bowl of chowder it was! Amazing flavours and generous portions. It was SO good we bought a house just down the road from you (short walking distance) ! Well, actually it wasn't just to be near you but you will be seeing a lot of us when we move down permanently in 2019. Kudos to you and your staff!
So, adding to this review, have been living down the road from Crow's Nest for four months now and don't know how I survived without it. Amazing food and such a cool little place, never disappoints!
Yet another addition. They have been offering a seemingly endless daily selection of soups and now supper specials. Had the ham and scallops this past week, man it was good and super fast service. Picked it up, too bad kuz I love the cozy atmosphere there. You guys rock!

We're camping in Bridgetown and stopped for lunch. Seafood was awesome! Clams, haddock and pan fried scallops all cooked perfectly with big portions. They had malt vinegar and tartar sauce in a squeeze bottle which was great.

This is the best seafood chowder we ever tasted! Best $18 ever spent!

Enjoyed a delicious meal with my family at Crows Nest Restaurant. I had 2 piece Haddock English style with fries and gravy. My wife had clam and fries. We had our two year old with us who get bored easily, they accommodated us by giving her a colouring book and crayons. Reccomend getting reservations seems to be always busy or reserved tables.

Friendly server. Great homey atmosphere & amazing food. A long list of menus items! Very reasonable prices. We will return here for sure!!

The Crow's Nest is one of our favourite places to go on a date or to bring friends who are visiting the province. The food is ALWAYS fresh, prepared with care and absolutely delicious. The portions are massive and the quality of the seafood can't be beat.
The service is friendly, knowledgable and extremely efficient.
The scallops are always cooked perfectly, the pan-friend haddock is one of the best pieces of fish you can get in the whole area.
We love the gentleman server who always makes our visits feel like having supper with a good friend.

I've been frequenting the Crow's Nest for many years. If you want a homey restaurant with excellent seafood, this is it. My favourites are the fish and chips [English style batter] and the seafood chowder never disappoints. If you order the fish & chips, I recommend the one piece. Although, you can always take the second piece to go. There is also a take-out window and picnic tables overlooking the water. Great spot for a summer lunch or dinner. The staff are very nice, too!

Very busy in the summer. You may want to eat a little early or late to avoid the crowds.

Probably the best clams I've ever had. Love that they give you a big bottle of tartar sauce to go nuts with at your table 😂

Place is packed and you need reservations to eat inside, crazy considering its a shack but the seafood at these prices is crazy good and a great deal. If your in the area do take out or eat outside in the pic nik area. Lobster club and lobster burgers .

Our son recommended the Crow's Nest in Digby, however we were closer to this location so we stopped in for lunch. We were greeted by very friendly staff, who provided the best of service. The ambiance was warm and very quaint. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We couldn't decide between the fish and chips or the seafood chowder, so we took the chowder to go. We will definitely come here again.

Fresh seafood that you can order pan fried or deep fried. Ordered the pan fried seafood platter (fish, clams, and scallops). Everything was cooked to perfection

We came to The Crow’s Nest today as we’re visiting family in the area. Absolutely incredible food, sat us down in minutes (family of 7), excellent wait staff, and we had the best seafood chowder and lobster rolls of the trip!!

We have been referring folks that visit our Historical site to this place, near the Bay of Fundy, not too far from Annapolis Royal, so we just needed to come and try it for our self.
This place is a MUST, if you like sea food.
The seafood platter is excellent. It has Haddock, that you can order 4 or 5 different ways. The scallops were freaking amazing and the clams were perfect. All this with a choice of sides. I had the fries.
We also had the last piece of coconut cream pie. It was very nice. So if you want pie go early.
It is opened year round.
