Fort Anne Cafe

We had visited the Annapolis Brewing Company next door and one of the food recommendations they mentioned was the Fort Anne Cafe. We ordered a couple of times from the Cafe, and they even brought our meals directly over to the brewery!

Great portions and extremely tasty. Highly recommended.

Lovely food. Excellent, friendly service. Great food. I tried the Aloha burger with pineapple and ham. I skipped the banana peppers. It was delicious and such a new flavour for a burger! David had the special burger of the day, also great. Tetley tea, which is good. Important to me the brand of tea Coffee was very nice as well. Love the ambiance! The Christmas decorations were lovely. Pretty simple looking from the outside but a great experience overall. If we lived here, we would return again and again. Our kind of place!

The Fort Anne is a rustic gem that I wasn't even sure I wanted to try. I'm glad I did go in, as the folks were great and the burger was great. Well worth the stop in Annapolis Royal.

We had a great dining experience here recently. We both had the haddock burger with sweet potato fries. The haddock was fresh and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Highly recommended! Sorry, no photo today.

Plates go out fast, operational kitchen. Standard menu for that kind of place.

The interior could be better organized and look better, to match the quality of the food and service.

Went with a group of 7 for breakfast twice. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and were even able to refer us to a place we could go make noise for a party outside town.

All orders were served correctly, and service was quick and easy. Food wasn't anything special, but it was pretty good. The sourdough toast was a favourite, and the eggs and bacon were cooked well, (i.e. not overcooked). They were very good at cooking the eggs to order. Decent price to portion size ratio. Breakfast ranged from about $6-12, and us bigger guys really enjoyed the "really, very big breakfast" for $20 with 4 meats included (photo attached).

Anytime I have visited the food has always been great, I really like their collaboration with the Annapolis Brewing company.

I love eating here. Huge burgers made with local beef. Great fish and chips. Fast and very friendly service.

We arrived only 10 minutes before closing and were not sure if they would take our order. The very friendly waitress assured us that they take orders right up until closing. We ordered our supper, the food was second only to the service. We felt like valued customers and at no point did we feel rushed to leave. The staff were absolutely amazing and the food was good too. Highly recommended.

Always a great place to eat. Food is delicious. Cozy welcoming atmosphere and one of the absolute best waitresses anywhere.

A realy wonderful place to eat in scenic Annapolis Royal. The wait staff were super friendly and quick. Burgers, Soup, Salat and Sandwich with fries was excellent. isappointed. The lovely tin ceiling adds to the atmosphere.

Really great burgers. Excellent service. Definitely worth a stop here if you’re hungry and want some classic pub grub.

Our kiddo was feeling nauseous but hungry, and the staff were SUPER accommodating about letting him try their soup before we even ordered to know if we wanted to eat there <3 THAT is great service.

We are visiting again from the US and came back to the Annapolis Royal area to visit again. Had lunch at the Fort Ann Café today. It reminded me of some of the eateries from when I was growing up, combined with a more modern twist. I liked the décor inside. Again older style with a little more modern twist. Well done. We chose a nice little booth over the tables. Just our preference, but worked well for our visit.
The food was very good at a reasonable price. Decent size portions and not a long wait for service or food. We both decided on the Fish and Chips. So we didn't explore the menu as well as I would like to have reported. Oh well. Anyway, we both enjoyed our meals. I'm glad we chose this establishment.
The owner took the time to come over and greet us before we departed, which was very nice. And our server was wonderful in all aspects. If anything, we took up too much of her time. We actually felt welcome and appreciated for patronizing this nice little eatery. If and when I am again back in Annapolis Royal, I hope this great little place is still doing well. I would like to stop in again. Give them a try. You might really like it.

Not sure why it's taken me so long to try this place but it's definitely one of the best places to eat in Annapolis Royal. Service is friendly and efficient, food is tasty and comes in proper adult sized portions, not like some other establishments in the vicinity. Good, honest food at reasonable prices. Top marks from me.

Funky decor, friendly and fast service! Highly recommend the fish and chips. Delicious haddock! Sweet Aloha burger another good choice. I was skeptical as I usually go for a traditional cheese burger but turns out my favorite pizza toppings come together for a tasty sweet and spicy burger. Coleslaw is it of this world, and I'm a bit of a slaw connoisseur :)
