Cafe Laurent

While traveling through Burnstown we stopped at Cafe Laurent. This was the best ice cream we've had in a long time the store was extremely clean and looks brand new. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Do yourself a favour and stop by the chocolate waffle cone was amazing.

Well worth the drive from Ottawa, approximately 46 minutes. The best homemade ice cream and cones I ever had. Friendly service and great service. Highly recommend. AAA+++ I certainly will return.

Outstanding ice cream, there is nothing else quite like it! We drove to Cafe Laurent after reading an Ottawa Citizen article about how the proprietor makes fresh ice cream daily and makes his own waffle cones.

The chocolate chip cookie dough was very creamy and delicious. The owner kindly gave me a scoop of kiwi ice cream and it was fantastic! My kids tasted the kiwi and also thought it was phenomenal.

There is definite pride of ownership at this little gem. The shop is really tidy and well maintained, and the owner seems to be taking many safety precautions during the pandemic. The owner is very friendly and has a good sense of humour. The long lineup demonstrates the store’s well-deserved success.

Really good Ice cream. The owner makes it himself in Calabogie I believe. It’s some of the best ice cream around. My husband grew up in Europe and says this is the closest icecream he can get to what he enjoyed in Europe. Waffle cones are also delicious. Prices are average. We are regulars!

Probably some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted. Tried the mint chocolate and Strawberry and it was amazing. Even the colors of the ice cream look appetizing. Definitely gonna be a regular stop on the way home from the cottage.

Amazing, homemade ice cream with both the classic and unique flavours. The pistacchio ice cream today was delicious. Coffee was some of the best I've had. Lovely service and not as busy as the Neat Café across the way. Outdoor seating (landscaped rock benches) was comfortable. and

My husband and I went to this lovely little cafe today with our 19 month old. The ice cream was amazing. We took some macaroons to go back to our resort with us and they were absolutely delicious. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended stopping jn.

Absolutely the BEST ICE CREAM in Ontario (and probablyQuebec). There are no preservatives in the recipe and Laurent's flavours are to die for - rich and luxurious. Well worth the drive to Burnstown - the beautiful countryside and the picturesque Madawaska River are bonus features to this trip! Go on a Friday afternoon and enjoy the Farmer's Market as well...... 👍👌👏👏

Absolutely the BEST ice cream and waffle cone I have ever had!! Wonderful friendly service and he gave us an extra scoop of the non dairy to try on top which was fabulous!! I think I will have that the next time I stop.

Best ice cream and waffle cones. All made in house. This place is a gem, the perfect stop to make on a hot summer day. Try the blue popcorn flavour! Lots of creative flavours that you can’t get anywhere else.

The strawberry ice cream is to die for 🤤 and so were the strawberry and raspberry macaroons! The waffle cone was a little too thin just because it was very easily breaking by the weight of the ice cream but it was still a five star rating no doubt!

One day after a day on the trails my Jeep group decided to stop in here for some ice cream. It was hot and a long day and we all had our faces fixed for the ice cream. When we arrived we decided to air up there seeing how there was a long line up. This was about 6:15. Little did we know that they were closed. We all walked away with very sad faces. Shortly after they employee came out and said that even though they were closed, they still take our order. We had the largest grins on our face and completely made our day. Thank you for doing this and it was over and above. Love this place and we can’t drive by without stopping.

One of the best homemade ice cream places around. The 1 scoop is actually a big 2 scoop cone. Can't wait to go back to try other flavours.

Amazing ice cream, vegan options as well. Must have the Rum Raisin. The owner was super friendly.
