Historic Gem Theatre

The Gem Theatre is now opened and the citizens of Grand Forks are thrilled. A benefit concert was held last night with over $5000 raised, 8 bands and 2000+ in attendance. What community spirit and pride. Support the Gem Theatre.

Great seats, cheap tickets and snacks. They don't have as much showings as a big theater but they play new movies a few weeks after release which isn't bad at all. Gives you time to check the reviews to see if it's worth watching before going.

Love this place. If you want a classic movie going experience, this is your place. The vibe is comfy, classic, and extremely welcoming. The seats are wonderful and the staff makes contact with all their guests to see how they liked the show.

Amazing historic theatre with movies and live music events. The seats are comfortable, the stage for events is great, and the people are very friendly — Be sure to check them out!

We don’t go to the theatre very often but thought it was a must for the new Top Gun: Maverick movie. What can I say but WOW! Love the post flood renos - seats are super comfortable! We will be back!

A great venue to watch movies/live shows. The acoustics of the theatre and the projector quality are top notch! A must visit if in the area.

Best and only theatre in Grand Forks. Even without the exclusivity of being the only place in town, the Gem is special. It's in a beautiful older building with a newly renovated interior and the owners are absolutely incredible! The movies shown are fairly close to their release and the popcorn has REAL BUTTER. If you've got the opportunity treat yourself to a movie.

its an older theater, but since the flood they had to install new stuff like seats. and the seats are much better then before. comfy seats, cheap tickets, cheap but good popcorn and drinks. possibly the best theater i've been to without draining all my money on just popcorn! XD

Found this place while on vacation. If you like quaint liffle older theaters this is a great place to visit. The staff was very kind and curtious. The foyer was very nice with an old town feel. Seats are a little hard and old but its not stadium seating at the cineplex. Very nice overall experience.

The best little independent community theater ever. The owners invite the local film club to show their films once a month; built a stage for live shows; give charitable donations to local agencies re to a film coming to town; make their own window decorations; use real butter on their popcorn and are just wonderful people.

I love going here! Small and comfy! I have watched some of the best movies here! With my girls, the whole family or a moms night! Friendly service and reasonable prices!!!!!

This is a "Gem" of a place. Comfortable seats, good prices, friendly staff. They did a great job in refurbishing after the floor. Oh, the movie was good too.

Place got updated with new seats, and now have Digital screen which is rad, but sad about all the damage caused by flood. Glad to see that they re opened!

Great owners, kind and generous. Obvious that they care and share within the community, Grand Forks is lucky to have them.

Went and saw Steve Elliott as Elvis the show was amazing.

Quite an adequate theatre for the needs of a small city of our design hosting lonely movies but live musical events as well.

An absolute gem...lovely owners make everyone feel they are entering their home.
