The Board Room Cafe

Amazing food, great service, friendly and cost atmosphere and you can play as many board games as you like for $5 all day! They have a great selection of games and it’s a really fun place to hangout, highly recommended!

Love board game cafes! This one has a good selection of games and quite a large menu of drinks, snacks, and lunch foods. The hours are a little strange - 10 -5 pm, so no evening gaming, but we were stopping through on holiday and had time for a game so I guess it works! I had an apple salad with a home made apple cider vinegraitte and some sort of tasty goat cheese. My partner had the heavenly wrap, which has chips on the side. Tried the tropical smoothie (lighter one) and really enjoyed the fresh flavour. I can't remember what the darker smoothie had, maybe berries? It tasted awesome, too, either way.

Definitely stop here! This cafe is a local community hangout spot - they have board games to play, live music, trivia nights. . .and of course, great food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack. They have lots of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options - all clearly marked on their menu. I had a grilled vegan sandwich with a side of vegan Caesar salad and lavender lemonade (made fresh).

This quaint little board game cafe is full of friendly locals and delicious snacks to fuel your gaming!

We stopped in, on our way back to Vancouver just for a drink....
We ended up having a tasty pizza bagel, lavender coffee and a coffee crisp milk shake... then picked up three board games!
It's so homey and friendly at The Board Room Cafe you will find it difficult to peel yourself away from their comfy atmosphere.

If your in Grand Forks, even if you don't play board games, you should stop in and enjoy the small town vibes!

What a unique place. Good food, many interesting options I have never seen before like the Chocolate Orange Milkshake.

Absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere and staff are sublime. The coffee is to die for, it's the perfect place to bring the family for a nice afternoon or just come sit and relax by yourself. Best of all they have a very subtle "grown-up drinks" menu with the perfect selection of beer. I'd highly recommend the Bailey's Milkshake!

Always a pleasant experience! The lavender latte is so tasty, along with other treats or more substantial eats, and staff are approachable and prompt. Board game cafés are so great to find new or long-enjoyed games, and the atmosphere at Board Room is rad. I'm sad they are short on kitchen staff limiting their days of operation but when they are open I go out of my way to swing by.

Really nice cafe with dog-friendly outdoor seating. Great umbrellas for shade. Amazingly delicious iced lavender latte (highly recommend). Wraps were also tasty and came with a healthy serving of chips.

Fun relaxed cafe fun for the family. Wide variety for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The offering is plenty and priced affordable. The draw to the Board Room is they have 100's of board games and puzzles for age levels, fun!

On holidays in US and Canada west coast for 1 month. There was only one place that served good coffee -it was here. Best coffee we ever found in Western North America.

I've been here 3 times now passing through Grand Forks. I love the food, the general vibes are super friendly and laid back. They always have good music on too. I look forward to visiting this cafe every time I'm in the area!

I love this little cafe. It's a great place to meet friends. I haven't played the board games, but I've purchased a few from here and know they are well stocked. Their food is fresh and delicious. Expect potato chips as a side instead of fries

Holy smokes this place smells AMAZING. Service is friendly as heck, and so many games to choose from. They even have a cedar coffee flavour that is to die for. Came here for the first time yesterday and returned today to try other things. I recommend the pulled pork quesadillas.

We didn't play any games, just a stop for a refreshing iced coffee and snack. Amazing game selection and friendly staff. Beautiful dog friendly patio

The Board Room Cafe was fantastic. Cozy and inviting with lots of food and drink options including vegan treats for our son with allergies.

We ate here twice during our weekend because it was so good and the staff is really so friendly. All the food had visible codes for allergy or food choice options.

I had the chai latte and Awesome bagel both times. I could eat this everyday. Thanks for having such a warm, inviting and allergy friendly establishment
