Great place! We are from Victoria and came to check it out. Jim, the owner was really chill and has a great place running. Turkey sandwiches were yummy with the cranberry jam. I had an ice mocha. Good sized. Will def be back! Love the outdoor area too, it’s nice if you’re still wanting to socially distance or if it’s sunny and warm.

Passing by your eye is caught by this artesian looking spot with testimonials of rated best coffee in the peninsula. Was charging my car across the street and checked out the google reviews (I'm a tenured reviewer). I was taken aback by the owners responses. In all my years using google reviews I've never seen such comments by an owner. Clearly they do not approach customer service with a customer is always right philosophy. (we all know customers aren't always right, but its the philosophy by which you speak to a customer, just a piece of advice, you can always turn a customers mind around by treating them nicely, those comments, who would want to give you a 2nd shot, and remember those comments are viewable by everyone). Nevertheless I thought let me see what all the bad reviews are about. I did not have any negative experience. The staff were friendly. Only one person making coffee which I believe is why the wait, I was 4th in line and yes it was one by one, which is ok. Ordered a white mocha and a pumpkin muffin $10.50, can't complain about the price. The muffin is hefty and not super soft but ok. The coffee was delicious, very robust not sweet yet white chocolatey. Overall I would agree the coffee is very well roasted and flavourful. Nice selection of pastries, unique items like an oreo scone. Worth a visit, just follow the rules like no standing infront of the pick up counter as it seems like you will incur a wrath (given by the owners responses to the people who have mentioned it). The roast on the cofffee is worth it.

I was fortunate enough to meet the owner and he made sure I left will full size samples in hand. Amazing tasting coffee. My favorite was the Maple Bourbon Brûlée. The maple flavor reminds me of home (New Brunswick)
Thanks for sharing, Jim, and I can’t wait to experience other blends. Definitely a thumbs up 😊

I work down the street from this location and have recently been having lunch here a few times a week. Roughly 20-25$ for a coffee, sandwich and a pastry; average price nowadays. I've had the opportunity to interact with a handful of the staff and they're humans with varying degrees of shyness, helpfulness, kindness etc. What I can say is that every time I've been there it has been a nice relaxing environment.

When it comes to the food I haven't had anything I didn't like there. From quinoa and chicken wraps to the scones and cookies, it feels like the available options are thought out and planned to be able to mix and match and still have a good meal.

The coffee I was told before going there that it was too strong. What I found was that if you know what you like you can find it there. If you're a tim hortons regular then you might want to ask for help to find what the right blend is for you.

Overall I think the place is great! If you're new to the area or the island you should stop by and check it out.

Fresh Cup Roastery generously supported the Parkland Graduating Class of 2023 by donating coffee, tea and all supplies (cups, cream, sugar, etc.) to the Dry Grad Party. We set up a Paris Cafe as part of our travel theme, and the coffee was a huge hit! Thank you so much to Jim Townley and the Fresh Cup staff for so generously supporting a safe and fun Dry Grad event! It's just on of many local events that Jim supports in our community. He is always giving back! The Fresh Cup Roastery is also a wonderful place to visit, with lovely indoor seating and beautiful covered patio complete with lighting for ambience. The coffee and baked goods are always delicious! We especially love the huge ginger cookies. Highly recommend!

About two years ago, I came across a coffee shop in Saanichton, called the Fresh Cup Roastery Cafe. It has been a regular haunt for me ever since. The coffee they serve, which is roasted in-house, is excellent.

I’m always on the lookout for good quality gluten-free products, and their selection of g-f goods doesn’t disappoint. Everything is baked fresh daily on the premises.

The owner and his staff are friendly, yet professional.

I have had two great experiences with the company. The first was several months ago. I am a huge fan of the Upside on Chek so I decided to order some of the upside blend to try. It was delivered to my house in person(perhaps by the owner I'm not sure) the next day. The coffee is amazing so I decided last week to order more along with a mug. The order took a little while as they were out of mugs and needed to get more. Jim communicated the situation to me and kept me updated. When I recieved the order he had included a second mug for free as a thank you for being patient. This was such a kind gesture and now I can gift one to a family member who is also a huge Upside fan. Thank you Jim, I will definitely be ordering again and will come in person to get a cup of coffee if I'm ever out that way!

For our recent 90th Anniversary celebration, we approached Fresh Cup Roastery Cafe owner Jim Townley re coffee service. From the first enquiry, he offered his support.
For our event, he generously donated all the coffee, cups, condiments, and equipment that we required for coffee service that day! He supplied urns of premium medium and dark roast coffees, and also carafes of decaf. Oh, and a pop-up tent to cover the service area as well!
As a small non-profit Society run entirely by volunteers, we are grateful for, and appreciative of, such community support and partnership in local events. Jim's commitment - and that of his friendly Cafe staff - in supporting local endeavours was invaluable in contributing to our successful event!

Excellent little coffee shop in the town of Saanichton. Coffee was spot-on and the carrot cake was amazing. Nice comfortable booths to sit and work. Recommended.

Enjoying a cup of coffee is always a unique experience derived from the aroma, taste, atmosphere and vibe. Fresh Cup hits the mark. My flat white scored high points for freshness, smooth flavor and despite tasting like a dessert all on its own, I couldn’t resist pairing it with a strawberry lemon scone that left me feeling like I was spending time in a European cafe. Combined, the flavors complimented each other in a way that screamed…’that tastes like more please’. Simply, the best scone I have ever had.
The added gift of a simple chocolate cookie on the side of my coffee plate is a special touch that I love and rarely see in Canada, if ever.
Combine all of this with a unique log style patio with fireplace and voila , a coffee experience to remember and return for. Thank you !

Great coffee, and the paninis... oh my God the paninis. The turkey and gouda, I seagulled that thing down. If it wouldn't liken me to Mr. Creosote from Month Python's Meaning of Life, I would have had another!!

But seriously, great products.
