Northern Lights Regional Health Centre

I wish to express my appreciation for our experience during our stay at Northern Regional Hospital. In general, I found the nurses to be exceptional in their care. However, on the day of our discharge, we were attended to by a student nurse who profoundly altered my perception regarding the involvement of students in medical care. She displayed a remarkable level of proficiency in her duties, to the extent that one could easily mistake her for a seasoned professional. She skillfully bathed my newborn and attended to all our needs with utmost competence and compassion. Words cannot adequately convey my admiration for her exceptional service. Great job and keep it up!

I went in tonight with a heaviness on my chest and a extreme anxiety attack that wouldn’t go away.. I was dizzy, scared, my body tingled all over and it was one of the worst ones I ever had. The doctor made me feel heard, the nurse was so kind and reassuring and even ordered me a ecg when they probably already knew I didn’t really need one. But to make sure I felt safe and to help ease my anxiety they really went above and beyond to help me get the ease I was wishing for. Made me feel genuinely cared for right from triage to nurse to doctor back to nurse to doctor! It was super busy tonight as well.. amazing job! This is why I love my town , the amazing people in it. Thank you doctors and nurses and all the staff at the hospital for making my night a little less stressful and more enjoyable.

I hate being in a hospital but I had to be there! So many Nurses and Doctors helped me get my treatment. Thanks Trina and Dr Denga. The Cleaning staff and Dining staff also were very friendly. Also a shout out to the amazing staff at Alberta Central Air Ambulance for transporting to Edmonton and back.

In my 22 years in Fort McMurray, I've never had a bad experience at this hospital, for both myself and my kids. I just had day surgery and the entire process was painless, (literally & figuratively). Rae Del (not sure on spelling) & Jessica in the day surgery unit were so caring & amazing! Rae Del is hillarious and made me forget how nervous I actually was. The OR nurses were very friendly, thorough, personable and made me feel so comfortable through the whole process. The Anesthesiologist was fantastic as well. Dr.Haq Nawaz was a superstar Doctor as usual. She is the greatest doctor I've ever had and her bedside manner is second to none ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The best medical service ever. Best Nurses and doctors. They make you feel safe and in good hands. My mom was ICUed twice, with one heart failure but the whole medical team was very efficient. Just professionnal people with simple mission of life savors.
At this hospital a patient is a human and a simple number.

I got Ambulanced to that hospital. I was treated very good, I got a good care, all staff members were very generous and polite with me, doctors give attention and they did good communication with me and my family, the food there was delicious. When I was in the ICU, my situation was very serious and dangerous, staff used to answer calls and communicate with my family politely and professionally, thanks Chris and all staff members for having this value. I am back to my kids and my family now, and many thanks to everyone made effort to let me make it.

On behalf of my Dad, thanks so much to all the doctors, nurses and staff here. My Dad was a very sick man when he came in, and the nurses and doctor acted very quickly to diagnose, treat him and provide relief. He was there for 11 days and found everyone to be super friendly, they gave him choices and say in the care they provided, and all of his questions were answered thoroughly. He's very impressed with the level of care he was provided, and so are we. He's back home healthy, and has done a complete 180 in terms of changing his lifestyle so he never ends up in that state again. Thank you once more.

I really want to say special thanks to the Nurse ANSY.
She is the nurse who helped me in the normal delivery. I had C-section seven years ago, after long period of time and due to my age; even my doctor was thinking I should go for C section. But she has too much knowledge, explains the things so clearly, makes you comfortable. Thank you Ansy.

During this covid19 crisis the Drs and nurses are putting their life in jeopardy to save us and our loved ones. My son was just recently discharged after a stay in ICU and a very short stay after. I believe the staff saved my son's life as his Oxygen levels were so low. This is miracle. I can't imagine under these circumstances, how difficult their job is. Please believe covid is life threatening. Also let's applaud front line workers.

We had our first baby delivered thru ceasarean section. Everything went well. Thank you for your great services. Special thanks to Dr. Haq Nawaz and her colleagues for the safe delivery of our child. To the 3 Jaimees, Karen and Kelsey, all the staff and personnel and specialists who looked after our child and my partner, you did an exceptional job. I can't thank you enough for your care and commitment. My respect for all of you is as huge as the universe. Thank you all.

I had to go twice there in less than 3 weeks for hearth acting up. Never had an issue quick and easy. Tests have being scheduled in a quick and easy way. By far this one has being quicker than any other place I've visited.

I've been here about ten days with a belly condition so painful and constant it reduced me to crying and begging for relief. I'm a 42 YEAR OLD BOILERMAKER. For medical reasons, they could do nothing for the pain &sometimes the proceedures made it far worse! At the time I had never despised anyone or any place worse than here. Let me offer my sincerest apology for my thoughts&behavior at that time. Since comming around, let me say this is by far the most amazingly wonderful experience I've ever had as a patient/customer. Anywhere. The reason: THE PEOPLE!!! Fondest thanks and Best New year to Every one of you from Surgeons to Stair Scrubbers& everyone in between. Now I have 3or4 days left to enjoy my stay. Over&Out. Nurse at maternity unit name ocean is excellent ..very caring...helped my wife during pregnancy..god bless you...could not meet her at time of dischage but thank you for your exceptional support.

This was a very good hospital. They knew the procedures and provided the correct treatment. Nice and knowledgeable doctors who knew what they were doing, especially Dr.Tommy, Dr.Rizvi, Dr.Haleem and all the nurses they took utmost care of the patient.Highly recommend.

I was a stubborn patient, they were still very kind and accommodating. Knowledgeable and very friendly staff, they keep a clean and tight ship.
