Holiday Inn Express Red Deer, an IHG Hotel

We recently stayed at this hotel for a three-night family staycation, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality.

The hotel was outdated but the room was spacious and clean. The room layout was perfect for our family and the beds were super cozy.

The staff truly made our stay exceptional. Every member of the team went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. They made us feel like valued guests throughout our stay.

The hotel location is so convenient, and it is just a walking distance to a Mall and other stores.

The hotel's commitment to cleanliness and safety was evident throughout our stay. We felt secure and well taken care of, which added to our overall peace of mind.

Our three-night stay at this hotel was nothing short of fantastic. We highly recommend this hotel and we can't wait for our next stay!

Hallway can be a little noisy with footsteps but hotel was quiet after 10.
Beds are comfy.

exceeded by the staff but expecially Angel. She was able to maintain a warmth of genuine and friendlness as i stepped in. Which made me feel valued and my stay extra memorable. Amazing stay the breakfast was great!

Stayed here for the last 2 nights . Everytime we come to Red Deer we always pick this hotel for it's ideal location, being just across the mall. The service is always friendly and staff always have a smile on their face! Check in & out process is no fuss which is always appreciated. I specailly would like to mention Rowena, who serves breakfast, she is such a delite! Making sure there's no empty items & breakfast area is always clean & tidy, making for a very pleasant start of our day! Definitely recommend!

You couldn’t ask for better service! The staff were all very polite and helpful. The weekend breakfast menu was great but took a bit of a dive Monday morning. For example turkey sausage was gone as were some other options.

While it is a great place to stay it is showing it’s age like we all do in life😊. I rated it high because even though it’s showing age the staff friendliness and cleanliness make up for an aging building for me.

We had an excellent experience in a quiet but relaxing ambience. Our kids enjoy the pool and we had a wonderful breakfast together with the approachable and friendly personnel.

Had a block booking for a team event.
The Block booking had expired and I needed join the team and needed a room and Angel was able to accommodate me even though this block booking had expired.

This hotel has a nice location with access to restaurants and shopping. Although smaller than other Holiday Inns, I love how it’s family friendly and can never run out of parking space. Key points: One, the small pool is kind of a deal breaker because with about 70plus rooms, the pool’s size is a kiddie one. Two, there was a receptionist I talked to named Jierra who definitely wasn’t accomodating. Guests are supposed to feel welcomed and front desk staff are supposed to do this. There were three people who really stood out, I did not get the name of the male staff who was attending to the needs of guests whether it be a towel or a charger or anything you would need. But I definitely felt he really loved his job. Kudos to this guy. He was helping us out and other guests during the Labor Day long weekend. Two kitchen staff Wilma and Marlon who managed breakfast did an amazing job serving a full house. These two need a raise! The total chaos of guests coming in at the same time did not stopped them from bringing in food with a smile. That is pure grace under pressure. These three people are assets to this hotel. I would commend the hotel overall as we did enjoy our short stay and will definitely come back again if we are in town for some adventure.

So clean. Great pool. Great breakfast. The staff are so friendly and kind. Will stay again.

The environment was very clean and the atmosphere relaxing. A lady by the name Rowena was very pleasant on contact.

Norlen was very helpful and polite.
She did a wonderful job in my room and went out of her way to ask me if everything was okay and if I needed anything.

This hotel has the best staff! The front desk, breakfast staff and cleaning staff were amazing. They were very accommodating and friendly. It’s perfect for a family. The breakfast was constantly maintained and replenished. The front desk went above and beyond to help with finding restaurants for us. Thanks for the great and accommodating stay.

This is an older hotel, but the people that work in the hotel and I mean all of them I interacted with are absolutely fantastic! I have stayed at 4 different holiday Inns in the past month and the employees at this one are by far the hardest working and the most caring of them all. Fantastic experience and definitely recommend.
