The Barn Coffee & Social House

A new favorite coffee house. The design and atmosphere is wonderful. The options for drinks are great. I got an iced latte, the coffee was amazing and I got the blueberry maple fog it was amazing. The tea was perfect and had so much flavor

Came across this great coffee house as we drove through Mahone Bay Nova Scotia. The Barn Coffee & Social house is great I had a blackberry and white chocolate scone which was to die for. We grabbed a table by the door as people came and sat and went.

The main floor has the counter area and also some tables as well as some comfy chairs. The shop was busy the whole time we were there and there was great parking on both sides of the building.

Besides the down stairs seating there is also a second floor loft similarly arranged.

Throught out the barn there are assorted collection of great curiosities. Baskets, vintage poster, old license plates and road signs.

I would highly recommend you visit if you are in the area.

As we left jyst outside the door there is an old street parking meter painted red with a sign that asked for donations to the local fire department ... what a clever idea.

When travelling throughout the province we make a point at stopping at cafes and social houses. Including Halifax have been to 70 or more. The Barn is our absolute favourite. The atmosphere is terrific, coffee and sweets are great as is the service. Plus we get to spend time walking around Mahone Bay.

A warm and inviting space with delicious coffee drinks. My hubby had coffee and I had a latte, which had a nice deep and rich flavour.

A great example of a local coffee house! We’ll decorated to fit the area, lots of local artisans and fun things to buy, something to see everywhere, lots of unique seating areas… what a gem! And the coffee was great too!

This place is great! We came from Toronto and the staff were really nice. They had such good customer service, and the food tasted amazing. We had the breakfast crossoint, the chocolate croissant thing-a-ma-jig, and an apple tart. I think the apple tart was the best, but everything was great!!!

This little café is absolutely gorgeous! The vibes is nice, service is incredible, happy staff, great coffee, even wifi is good. We we t there 2 times, second one because I left my wallet, they kept it for me. We are so grateful, thanks again. 😁Almond milk lattes, London fog and Grizzly chai lattes are all delicious choices! Also smells very good, fresh bakeries and cookies.👌🏼

Great place to relax and have a great cup of coffee. It has a nice rustic decoration with lots of wood and barn accessories. I Highly recommend this as a pit stop in your travels. The chocolate cookies are superb!

A big plus they have gluten free options!!

One of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever tried in my life, but all the bakery products they have are delicious. Great atmosphere and atmosphere.

Cannot say enough good, I am still dreaming about the scone. Such amazing coffee too we had an Americano and a mocha. Love the vibe, love the food, love the service, love it all! One of the highlights of our NS trip.

One of our favourite coffee shops! My boyfriend and I visited Mahone Bay from Ontario and this place was our go to. The environment is very cute and cozy and the staff are so friendly. Amazing coffee and great pastries (you gotta try the cinnamon buns!!). We cant wait to come back! <3

Super friendly owner and staff, great coffee and food. Service is very good, but almost always a long wait. Seems to be a combination of the speed of the machines and sometimes not enough staff. It's a great local place though, and reflects really well on Mahone Bay.

Delicious! We had maple lattes, bacon and egg brioche, and a cinnamon bun. All fantastic, enjoyed in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

The bacon and cheese brioche was absolutely heavenly! I literally inhaled it, it was soo good. I still think about it and it's been 2 days since eating it.... The lattes were also good and they were poured into compostable cups which was a bonus! The interior is very cozy with lots of space to sit, comfy couches, great service, local goods sold inside as well. Would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful spot great coffee had read reviews about baked goods so was so pleased to discover their gluten free options. That cinnamon pumpkin donut was the best!

We live in new Hampshire and the Barn is high on our list of places to visit while in Mahone Bay. We hope to get back this year providing the border reopens. The Barn has great atmosphere superb coffee and pastries, and above all the folks that wait on you are incredible. 🙂 we made it back and we were not disappointed. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS: a bacon and egg brochie, well it's the best breakfast one could ever eat.

A gem in Nova Scotia, the coffee and baked goods are on par with the best in New York, Toronto, Montreal. Tip- first thing in the morning the scones are hot out of the oven. Great staff and service
