Grimston Park

Lovely playground with swings, sand, water features, wading pool,....

My family and I recently visited this park and were pleasantly surprised. For a smaller park, it had it all, including a wading pool that my boys spent hours in. Great little park for lazy summer days!

Huge playground for kids from young to teens(possibly)
Right now the water is off for the water park area but it must be amazing to have water park as well as playground side by side-

Lots of swings and play area for sand as well.
Also has a great view towards anasis Island bridge

Big park with plenty of room for running, rolling down the hills, and biking for small kids. Well maintained park and year round open washrooms. Bit windy all year round, so bring weather appropriate clothes. My kids always love spending few hours here. Usually there are always kids at the park.

Excellent place for children. There is a staff person organizing and monitoring place. There are a lot of toys free that children can play. Very good park for summer season.

During the 2021 June heat wave the city made a great decision to keep the wading pool open to 9pm. Thanks!

In 2022 the hours of the pool have been extended until 6:00pm. If daytime high is under 18C the pool will be closed.

Play with sand and water, good view

Awesome little park with a wading pool amd playground for the little ones. Plenty of street parking, 2 tennis courts and big grassy field for the big ones.

We love this park. the little pool is a great attraction for the kids in summertime. Also fantastic playground in the winter.

Great park which is usually not too busy. Has a wading pool and bathrooms on top of the usual playground and field.

On a hot sunny day, expect larger crowds than usual due to the wading pool. But still, there's lots of room to spread out and a decent amount of shade for the parents.

Good variety of playground equipment for children of all ages. Park has a large baseball diamond and soccer field, lacrosse box (rarely used), double tennis court (rarely used), and a basketball hoop on one of the tennis courts. Also, is a very wide and long hill, quite steep too, which is very popular as a sledding hill when it snows. A little of everything for everyone!

Great playground! Very few places in the city have structures like these remain.

It's a gem. A fairly compact park with a grass field, wading pool and playground all near each other, and a larger space down the hill. Traffic near the play areas is quite calm.

Wait... I can review parks too? I didn't even eat anything... well okay. This park has everything - grass, trees, a playground, Uncle Bill?

The kids have developed their own society within the day to day play mentality, though without access to a conch, they're yet to find their way. I chose the Star Trek method of non-invasive monitoring until they started performing sacrifices to the jungle gym gods, then I took my leave.

Overall I would gladly park again. The benches were adequate, if only a little judgy. Next time I'll have kids first so I'm less awkward.

My kids Love the wading pool. The wading pool is drained at the end of each day. I love the view of the Alex Fraser Bridge, Mount Baker (I think?), the sky train too.

This is a great space in the West End to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Unfortunately the SkyTrain and whistling from the freight trains adds to the noise pollution.

The park itself is well maintained and opens up east to south for some stunning views.

My toddler loved this pool. It was a tad chilly but the 2nd day was warmer. The staff made sure to clean the pool both times we were there.

One of our most favorite family parks. The shallow pool in the summer is very refreshing and cool. The play place is one of the best featuring a big multi-level wood house and a great educational water stream and dam module to show the children how they work. There's a hockey field and a tennis court. As for the view, it's one of the best, being placed on a hill, it has a beautiful scenic view of the Fraser river, the skytrain, the Surrey valley and Mount Baker in WA.
