Excellent food and affordable in a covid safe friendly environment. I was impressed with the look and feel of the bar and was doubly impressed with my perfectly cooked steak!

My friend invited me to this place and the food here were amazing, we all love the onion rings, wings and people here were all friendly. So I definitely recommend everyone come here and check it out🥳

My favorite dish is the chicken quesadillas and the salt and pepper wings and the personal poutine! They bake it to melt the cheese.....oh my gaaaawd and the patio is covered for rainy days now too. And they have a pool table and a led zeppelin pin ball machine and a old arcade table game that plays everything from king Kong to pac man and another hundred games. The lantern is my go to spot for food and a chill vibe with my crew

I have eaten a bunch of things off the menu as I am staying nearby for work. The food is good quality and the prices are very reasonable. The renovations are great and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

There are a lot of good daily specials on food and drinks as well as long happy hours.

Covid measures are in place and they are doing a fantastic job working through in such tough times.

I highly recommend this place. My favourite food so far is the burgers.

Always love the friendly atmosphere at a safe distance on the patio! Chatting with other customers and the staff. Great food! Variety of drinks for any mood! Whenever I have to be in the area I hit up this patio! Hopefully more often ... once covid restrictions ease... great place to eat and relax and support locally!!

Went to The Lantern a couple after opening. We sat outside on the patio. Ordered a couple drinks before getting some food. I have a food allergy and our server was very knowledgeable about what I could and could not have and made suggestions. The food was great. Overall service and experience was fantastic. We will definitely be visiting again.

No words, amazing all round. Drive all the way from maple ridge to go there. Eveeything I've had so far I've LOVED. So I can't even tell you what to order because I've never had a bad meal. Great staff too. I stumbled across this place last summer. I was one of there first customers, and feel so welcome any time I've gone in, thanks lantern staff for the great food and memories.

Seriously can't say enough good things about this place, I recommend it to everyone. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. Staff are the friendliest and service is great. The food is absolutely delicious (MOZZARELLA STICKS ARE A MUST HAVE) and great prices too! We try and get something different everytime and we've never been disappointed. The Lantern is our go to spot for sure.

Everywhere else on a Friday was packed and couldn’t get a seat. We noticed the parking lot was half full so we tried our luck - got a table instantly. Service was quick and friendly, and every single item we ordered was perfect, most meals are $12-$16. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m not sure who is working in the kitchen now but they’ve got that menu dialled in nicely. Jalapeño Mac and cheese, butter chicken poutine, and peanut butter bacon burger were all delish. Probably will be my new go-to spot! Only complaint is that there’s not many healthy options on the menu.

Girlfriend received the wrong burger but ate it anyhow as she did not want it to go to waste, made mention of it to the waitress just so they were aware of the mistake. Issue was quickly brought to attention of the manager and the incorrect order was waived from our bill. VERY impressed with the way this was handled. We will be returning. Not to mention the food was great!

Happy hour from 2-5pm daily. Great beverage specials and a wide selection of food starting at $4, with full sized portions.
Staff are always friendly and outgoing.
Food is tasty and much of it made from scratch.

Best brunch in the lower mainland. Great value, quality and selection of brunch items. Servers are friendly and extremely attentive. Our covid bubble has made this our permanent Sunday brunch destination. And can’t beat the $4 mimosas. Thanks Mark and staff for the hospitality.

The food here is top notch for reasonable prices and the covid protocols are good. They are working on the craft beer. If you like lagers or very hoppy, they have that covered already. Great steaks, salads, and pastas. Happy hour is amazing deal.

Spent an evening at the Lantern last week. The place was super busy so we had to wait, but the owner kept checking up on us while we were out which was really nice. The food was great and our server Susan had great service.
Would recommend anyone to come!

Great selection of beers on tap and some well priced fair on the menu with just enough of their own flair such as the peanut butter bacon burger. The in house lantern IPA is great if you like IPAs. The service is great too. Not only did they get me in when only patios are available they put together a table just for me as I came alone. They even put a napkin under the table leg to balance the table. That might seem small but how many restaurants have you been to and either just lived with it or did it yourself? All in all a great place with a great staff. Just what the doctor ordered in Covid times. #patiolife

Absolutely delicious food! Friendly staff, jukebox and really fun decorations. Smoked brisket and ribs are so good, but all the food has been amazing! Highly recommend.

Stopped in for lunch and really enjoyed it! Everyone really liked the food, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. There was also good social distancing 🎉 lots of space between the tables.
