Amazing pub! Hands down best pub in New west. This is the place to be if you want to have a good time and you’re in the area. It’s a small tavern in down town new west with a homely vibe. We have been coming here for years and I haven’t made a review but we have had many great nights that it’s about time. Siobhan is an amazing waitress, very bubbly and gets you what you need and always checks up on you. One of the nights we were at Begbies, she left because her shift was over and Liz took over for her. The transition was fluid, there was no confusion as to who was taking care of us and Liz was just as helpful as Siobhan. Could not recommend a better place to be and the. Owner Paul has an amazing team and is an amazing guy.

I think of this as a nice quaint tavern where friends can gather to catch up on life. Nice food, great service and not too loud.

OMG! I just loved this place! The beer was good, the food was good and the Karaoke night had like the best singers ever! I had so much fun! Really nice place !

We went on a Saturday at around 1pm and had the place to ourselves for a little bit. The server was very polite and attentive. When I asked if we could watch a tennis match that was about to start, the server immediately searched for the channel and played the game. We ordered beer, a roast beef sandwich, and chose the salad greens as a side. It was delicious and portion generous.

Friendly staff quick, and yummy food.
First place I've sat down and had a couple beers and food in a couple of years.
Oh good choice in music as well.
With restrictions lifting great spot to grab some food and a drink.

Our Server was excellent... Really added to the relaxed vibe.

I was there last weekend and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely a 10 star in my books.

After a long cycle we stopped off in Judge Begbies Tavern and it did not disappoint! Great food, great music and overall a great time had! Staff were fantastic and kind. Highly recommend!

Very good place indeed. A nice range of food and drink as well as good beers. I definitely recommend. Good location as well.

Finally a pub that knows how to properly pour a Guiness. Reading the online slamming of the name Begbie yet the world mourned the passing of a colonial monarch today?!?

I have been here twice so far. It is an amazing bar with great service! Food is great and the waitress suggests you good options! I am even considering to be here in the new year's eve!

Food was excellent. I have the Chicken Curry and my partner was not too hungry and had the chicken. Wings which were outstanding. Very good service. A pub with pub food but some excellent items on the menu.

Awesome small pub. Great service and had sound on for the Canucks.

We walked in at lunch and our server Paul warned us that they just had a big crowd order ahead of us. We thanked him for the warning but decided to stay. He offered us a complimentary drink for out patience. The honest communication alone gets a 5 star rating but the food was great too! Worth the wait! We’ll done Begbie’s!

I had a lovely roast beef dinner, nice few pints in a really relaxing and comfortable environment. Service was exceptional 👌, never in need, left very happy indeed!

Paul does a very Good job with this place. He gives the old heritage Grill vibes back. Pauls Done a great job over the Years In All of new west at All the bars. I highly reccomend Going here. Service Is Friendly And Its Quick. 5 stars Guys and Gals.

The best place for some yummy, chilly cocktails🍸🍸🍹🍹that are well prepared and the list is ever changing so you never know what you will get.
Burgers are to die for and the Tacos and Tortilla soup are heavenly. Great staff and quick service.
Could not ask for a better place in the community that is also independant from a franchise. Go support your Local Pub and have some cold ones.
