Ever since it got its new renovation, I've been loving the new technology in the library! To the amazing new Gaming room, To conference rooms, Teaching Kitchen and 3D printers. What an amazing library to include even a Sound & Photo/Video Studio with everything you need. Although I do miss the older vibe of the library, this brings many new features to an already good library.

Beautiful Library. Huge seating area. Very spacious. There are fiction, non-fiction, kids' books, language books, magazines, so many DVDs, lots of computer desks, and Quite room is something which I really like. Amazing Ambiance. Washrooms are on every floor. Customer service is available on every floor. Online learning material is also available, and platforms such as linkedin learning, kanopy, and craftsy are available for free.

Love the openness of the newly renovated library. Very bright, airy and clean. Not sure if there are more books coming, it felt like a lot less books than before. There is a video game room that can be booked, and a lot of computers can be accessed just by using an account. Self check out is available and also librarians are there to help.

The renovation was certainly a well-deserved wait. Although the collections of books aren’t at max capacity, the library is massive and even more nice than before! There are new commodities, a bunch of meeting rooms, a large study room, gaming, a cafe, digitalization, computer labs, and a kitchen. There are also washrooms on each floor and a library receptionist on each floor if you need help :)

The library looks more refreshed and refurbished in a very good way, and I will be likely revisit very often.

The only downside is that the floors essentially look the same and there isn’t any character, but its a fresh make-over from the dull theme before.

Hazel McCallion Library has reopen today after. Renovation and visited it today.
The great and huge library had seen so far.
I was quite impressed by the quantity and no of books they have, not only books but the way they had design it with isolated meeting rooms, auditorium, study hall and all are the best.
I would love to visit the place again.

The 3 year wait for renovations were well worth it! The open concept layout, interior decor, and choice of lighting and colours, all good changes that made this library so much better. Having washrooms in every floor is a nice bonus too!
My only concern was the lack of single-person work stations or study desks. There were a lot of lounge chairs with small tables which seemed impractical. But overall it’s an amazing place to study and work!

Recommended! Undoubtly the best library in Mississauga. The ambience here is really nice. You can find huge collection of books. And you will always find a place for you no matter how crowded it is. Specifically, while in the top floor, you can do your work enjoying the view from the window. And the washrooms are also really well maintained.

I love the renovations done to this space. The additions of the maker spaces and technological areas are a great bonus for the community and those wanting to expand their skills as the world gets more digital. I believe this will greatly assist low income families and provide more digital equity.

Thank you.

The renovated Hazel McCallion Library in Mississauga is a visual delight with a stunning layout. The sky lounge on the 4th floor offers breathtaking views of Celebration Square and Square One's bustling parking lot. With five floors, including a basement, it's a central hub for both study and cityscape appreciation.

Really impressed by the renovation. If you had to build a new library from scratch in 2024, this would be the library experience you would design. Most of the books I saw on the shelves were brand new, and they have more variety and breadth of books that any other library in Mississauga.

There are plenty of desks, computer labs, work areas, conference rooms and meeting rooms to get productive work in.

There's a gaming space with Xbox, PS5 (including Vr2) and gaming PCs.

There's a kitchen space, designed to host cooking classes.

There's a photography room, along with a 3D printer and a sewing room.

There's a special Mississauga History room, where you can review history from the city, including genealogy records.

There's also a multi-faith (prayer room), with a wudu area in it... and plenty more!

Renowned novelist Jane Austen once said, "I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library".

She would be the happiest if alive today and in Mississauga. Undoubtedly one of the best library systems in the world in the City of Mississauga, the Central Library is the crown of them all.

And if sge saw the newly renovated Hazel McCallion Library, she would be awestruck.

Spread over 5 floors (including the children section at basement level) this sprawling library is definitely a refuge for an avid reader.

Today, with its modern looks and contemporary technology, this is the library of the future.

The library will continue to be the hub for students to do group studies. For newcomers to Canada to look for illuminating information and up to speed with their English. For entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs to use the knowledge and wisdom of the business centre. Whether it is for reading, borrowing, or referencing, the library has a wonderful selection of books, newspapers, magazines, periodicals, movies, DVDs, and more.

Except that it is now in a new look that inspires.

What is more it is maintained very efficiently by a team that is not only very friendly but very passionate about their job. The shelves are neat the aisles clean.

The new shelving seems to have done away with mentioning the initials of the authors on the shelf. Instead, we have the range of library numbering systems. This makes it hard for one to locate the book of their choice easily.

I hope the library management looks into this and makes some changes.

If I had all the time in the world, the one place I would spend it in would be the Central Library. I hope the City continues to fund it well to maintain the high standards. And the staff keep the same passion to ensure this is something Jane Austen would have loved to be part of.

The new library looks amazing, they are gradually opening and increasing hours as they finish with the renovation work. I think they will be opening on weekends very soon as well. Great place to spend a couple of hours doing work or browsing through books. There is a quiet study at the 4th floor if you want some silence and it's a pretty large space overlooking the city's fountain and garden.

The best library I’ve visited in Canada. Entire first floor is for kids. They have different rooms for all kinds of needs (e.g. even a kitchen) on each level. Highly recommended
