The Wilcox Gastropub: Takeout, Delivery and Dine-In

JP was a fantastic server, always checked up on my girlfriend and I even when it was busy. Oysters were amazing, we took on the after 5pm special and was totally worth it! The steaks were absolutely delicious, had the grilled flavour to it, and lamb shank just came right off the bone was mouthwatering. The atmosphere was nice and dim seemed to be a very relaxed environment.

This place is a hidden gem of Mississauga. The food was absolutely perfect. Every dish tasted incredible and unique. The cocktails are fun. The wine list is small but there is something for everyone. Looking forward to my next visit.

Food was incredible. We had the Octopus, Korean Hen and Chicken sandwhich with truffle fries. Great ambiance, excellent service. The Gochujang w hint of honey on the chicken was insane. Food sat in the belly in the best way afterwards. Blown away

What a great dining experience! Food was presented very beautifully and tasted delicious !!! The service was top notch and the bar has a very cozy atmosphere. Drink cocktails were very unique and good beer selection.

Upscale dining in what looks like a house turned restaurant. A menu offering English, Caribbean, Korean dishes that would rarely inspire confidence- yet the Wilcox does each justice.

Next time you consider going to your favorite chain restaurant, give the Wilcox a go instead. You won't regret it.

We just had the pleasure of eating at The Wilcox for the first time and I am pleasantly surprised! One of the many regrets of being a Chef is not living long enough to enjoy all of the great restaurants throughout the world. This one has always found a way to slip out of my plans or under the radar on a night out. Please don't make that mistake and come eat here! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has that gastropub (wood+Iron) motif and the menu is very reminiscent of a true gastro pub and the fare matches beautifully. The flavors are fresh and the plating is vibrant and clean. The service was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable while offering some great suggestions. I definitely recommend bringing the family or attending for a nice romantic night out. Thanks Wilcox for a fantastic time and a great meal!

Honestly, was not expecting the place to be this good! The food, service and ambience, loved it! We tried the bang bang shrimp, truffle fries , spicy fried chicken, mushroom chaufa and duck chaufa. The Wilcox brew beer on tap is really nice as well. Would definitely recommend this place.

I love coming here. The resturant is so pretty. The service is great! The food is always yummy!

We go there for food a lot, but I guess the servers don’t quite get that we are there for food so they kept seating us to smaller tables every time we went there, which we end up rushing to finish the foods so the new plates would fit in.
Their octopus is the best one on their menu, and is the best grilled octopus in GTA. I have tried octopus at different places, but it was never as good as Wilcox’s. The sourness of the salad and the sweetness of the yam purée finely tunes the flavor of the octopus. I would say this one is a must try.
Duck Chaufa and lobster roll are the other two dishes that we order 90% of the time we go. These two are pretty good too. The duck chaufa is a fusion one with fresh duck confit but Chinese bacon fried rice, but it was surprisingly good.
We have also tried their jerk chicken, fish&chips, ribs, tacos and so on. We didn’t like their ribs and tacos much, so not going to order those again. The ribs were baby ribs, so tiny that it didn’t feel like a main. The flavor for both the beef taco and the fish taco needs some tuning. I’m sure you can do better.

Wanted to give a shout out to Jessica for being the best waitress ever; she always recommends the best cocktails! Also she has great customer service and is so friendly so you’re definitely very lucky to have her wilcox!

The cocktails here are my fave and this is coming from someone who doesn’t usually like cocktails or alcohol. For anyone who likes sweeter drinks that don’t taste like strong alcoholic drinks, I really like “passionate from miles away” and “sojuicee” (as recommended to me by Jessica)

I always look forward to tuesdays and Wednesday’s because of the oyster deal - I’m always begging my bf to go haha. But their oysters are so fresh and the perfect size and I love the radish, lemon and cocktail sides.

The food here is also great - the truffle fries are so crispy and had the perfect amount of cheese. I also like their lobster roll and burgers. The only thing I think could be improved on are their pasta dishes like the carbonara. The seafood linguine was also a bit watery and needed more seasoning but it did have a generous amount of seafood.

Also the patio outside is really cute so is perfect for a meal with friends or date night!

8 dozens of oysters after and I am super satisfied! Usually the amount of oysters I order take longer to come out but Wilcox never disappoints.

The truffle fries is also to die for. The fish and chips and bacon Mac and cheese was also delicious.

I definitely recommend anyone to come here for some delicious apps, lunch and dinner. I usually like to take my clients here as well since the hours of operation works well.

My first time in this restaurant. The steak bone marrow tartare was so far the best I had compare to other restaurant which have steak bone marrow tartare too the only thing I don’t like was the bread I wanted it to be a bit crunchy. The cocktail I ordered was excellent. The place where we are seated was sort of small but service was great.

Came here for dollar oysters on Wednesday, ordered the tacos, spicy fried chicken, tartar & bone marrow and Japanese carbonara.

The hostess and server treated us well and didn't rush anything. The service was great, atmosphere was right and the food was delicious

Came here after picking up a friend from the airport. She had just came from Cuba and needed to be reminded by Toronto amazing food since she had been missing out. Was recommended to this spot by a friend and oh was it good. From the service to the ambiance and the quality of the food it did not disappoint. The sliders was rich in tenderness and flavor, the pineapple was discreet in my drink, steak tartare and bone marrow were seasoned well and presented beautifully, the truffle fries were rich in truffle oil and topped with a generous amount of Parmesan, and the Korean pickles were full of vinegar and pickled to perfection. Would definitely come back anytime as this place hit home for me. Support local businesses especially when it happens to be a great pub.

My boyfriend and I went here for date night and loved the ambiance and food. The waiter was very kind, helpful and gave great recommendations. Some items however have been changed on the menu. My boyfriend ordered the seafood Linguine and it was top notch so flavourful but sadly removed from the menu. We got the spicy fried chicken as a shareable which was yummy but there was way too much Tabasco sauce. I got the Mediterranean Power bowl which was really great flavourful and crunchy. For drinks we got the Wilcox Mule which I am seeing is off the menu. The mule was really good and delicious. The dessert was just fine. Would go again for sure!

Visited with a group of friends and the experience was fantastic! Lovely atmosphere, friendly service and the most incredible flavours. The Wilcox Jerk in particular came in large portions!

i came here with some friends i haven’t seen in ages and we were talking a ton and taking a while to decide what to eat, but destiny, our server, was absolutely amazing and so sweet. she offered us recommendations and was so patient with us, even though we must have been a little annoying. the food and drinks were amazing and pretty reasonably priced. i would definitely come back again!

This was an incredible first experience! Staff are super knowledgeable about their menus and didn’t disappoint in service. The food was phenomenal, and drinks were just as good. I cannot wait to come back!

We had a blast sitting out on their patio. Its spacious and offers a good amount of shade. The service provided from Destiny (our waitress) was amazing. She was fast and friendly. We had ordered the wings, fish tacos and truffle fries. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Always happy to stop here for a drink or bite! Service is always wonderful. Servers are attentive and friendly and make helpful suggestions. Everything on the menu is great. Lovely little place! The patio is well set up and quiet even though it’s on a busy intersection. You don’t even notice the road. Discount oysters on Tuesday and Wednesday.
