Went there on a weekday and not too busy

I was pleasantly surprised at how many things there are to see. If you compare it to a bigger museum it’s smaller in comparison but I think it’s pretty solid

I’d say it takes you around 1 hour to go through everything. It is $6 right now, which is nice

We went in and were greeted by the staff who were kind to explain where everything is and where their favorite exhibits are.

My favorite exhibit is the courtroom as you can go in and explore, as well as take pictures in it. There is also a jail, a space that explores black history, exhibits of space and more.

Would recommend going for a fun activity downtown.

Admission was free since they are between exhibitions, but there was still a lot to see and was an interesting experience.

Delve into history by visiting the courthouse and jail. Take a gander at the exhibits - the two that were most interesting to me were the Suitcase Project and the one that explained all the roles at the museum. It was interesting to see how many pieces have to come together to make an exhibit come together.

The Suitcase Project is about Japanese Canadian who were forced to leave their homes in 1942. We had a meaningful conversation sparked by this exhibit and it's not something I will soon forget

The venue and the staff are great. Specifically, Lori-Ann, many thanks for answering all my questions. This location was perfect for our purpose and staff catered to everything we asked for. They gave us a wonderful tour of the well-kept museum. The kids in our event had a blast. Thank you!

This is an amazing place. There are so many things to do here. I visited and looked at the old c house. I was in awe. You can book to get married in the old court house. There are lots of large meeting rooms, you can also book tours and rooms to have meetings. There are displays to view and memorabilia to purchase.
There is also a very important archive where you can do research, just make an appointment. Jacob in the archives is so welcoming. Take a visit.

I had such a great day at PAMA a few days ago! I went to gather some information for a class assignment and met a worker named Joan. She was so knowledgeable and welcoming, she offered me a tour and showed me some information she thought would be relevant and helpful; she spoke about community and togetherness through the museum and shows she truly cares for the museum, thank very you!

I went to the PAMA Inkquisitive exhibition last night. We had previously attended PAMA every year for Sikh Heritage Month. We were lucky enough to get into the venue last night for a scheduled second showing. Inkquisitive was extremely gracious with his time and words, and so exceptionally talented. His art work has such profound meaning behind it. He truly lives and breathes his art. Thank you to the Sikh Heritage Month committee for funding the entire months exhibitions and events. It was a fabulous event!

Nice place to visit, lots interesting displays, to me the only sad thing is that many people don't make visit to this place, bringing kids where they can learn so many things instead of spending time in front of screens.

We celebrated our wedding here with an amazing photo shoot. The staff were amazing and gracious through the entire process. We were in no way rushed and got to have an amazing experience with Beautiful photos by Photography By Elvira. We couldn't have asked for a better day or a better group of people to work with! The history in this building is Mind-blowing and the architecture is simple and classic. So great, not to mention has an incredible Gallery and community hub attached. Definitely a light in Brampton and great use of this wonderful Landmark.

I loved this. I had no idea there was such a gem in Brampton. Definitely a really great place to both adults and kids, as there are a lot of. activities and spaces dedicated to them. It's also very educational and promotes togetherness and diversity. For adults, there's the art gallery and a room where you can look up old records related to the city. I would definitely come again.

Tons of fun to explore. We used the free parking under city hall. Walked over and enjoyed downtown Brampton after our visit. The staff at PAMA were outstanding! Using a stroller inside was no issue. Lots of space and large elevators.

We went for a random nightcap and ended up having a blast. The staff is very knowledgeable and the facility is extremely well kept. We ended up staying for 3 hours and have been back a few more times since our visit. I would definitely recommend going to the gallery if you're looking for a good activity for a group of people or just a casual time out. The exhibits have also been frequently updated!

I always enjoy my time there with the kids. The prices are perfect and activities are fun and easy for you to get into as an adult with the kids. The Art activity was creating your own quilt patch. They were codes/directions for slaves using the underground railroad- we all made our own and coloured them. We went for the black history month exhibit, the photo gallery was really amazing and the stories with the photos were moving. We visited on Saturday, had we gone on Sunday we would have been able to gain free entry, free refreshments and enjoyed guest speakers...my girlfriend got the days confused, nonetheless it was a day well spent.

What a pleasant surprise! We just happened to be in the neighborhood and thought we'd check it out. For a modest county museum, it had some interesting exhibits that even had our kids excited. The museum guides really added to our experience. Our guide, Colin, had a lot of interesting things to show us, along with the facts to bring history to life for us. Highlights included the jail cells and the court house. Our kids enjoyed the interactive and fun play areas. Our thanks for a memorable experience.
NOTE: the art gallery was closed for renovations, so we didn't get to take in the art collection - yet!
