What an amazing little store! Definitely try and go between 10am - noon, as they close early if it’s not busy. They were extremely helpful and helped me set up my very first aquarium. Their prices are insanely cheap, and my only regret is getting any fish from the place other than this! Extremely friendly, they take good care of their fish, and their prices literally cannot be beat! They also took the time to answer all my questions, and ensure I was set up correctly

This aquarium shop is opening! They are right next to a restaurant in the basement, the name board is indoor so they can be a bit tricky to find.
I own four goldfishes from this store, they are all healthy and sturdy, survived many of my mistakes as a newbie. The owners are shy but genuinely care about their fish — all fishes are kept in large tanks at low stocking density, the water is clean and you can’t find a single dead or sick fish.
It’s worth mentioning their price is decent even compared to aquariums in the North, make sure to visit before 2:30pm since they close pretty early!

Hidden gem - considerate and helpful. Three happy fish purchased about 3 years ago. Good advice regarding cleaning of water and amount of food to feed the fish. Thanks!

One of the best fish aquarium in the GTA! The lady is so sweet and takes care of her fish. She has all kind of fish, small to large to fish I've seen the first time in my life! I'm glad I found this place.

Aunt Wong’s fishes are very healthy and smart, they are the only ones knows to claim a home. Also the price is decent:)

Very nice fish store, was there today so ignore any reviews saying it's closed. The very friendly proprietor did mention she will often close up shop early if nobody is coming in. Jam packed with aquariums and what seemed like a wide variety of well cared for fish. Small spread of filters, pumps, and artificial plants/decorations. Emphasis is very much on the fish here. 3 common goldfish and a hefty bag of bulk fish food for $15, and some advice on proper feeding, can't go wrong.

I was there yesterday and Mrs.Wongs was helpful with everything. From choosing a good fish to sharing a very useful tips!
They have loads of variety of fish to choose from, from aquatic to tropical fish and they are all healthy.
Prices are very reasonable too! I will definitely go back there when we decide to expand our aquarium!

I love this store and the owners. Used to visit them all the time as a kid to buy turtle food and fish throughout the 1990s, even taking the subway all the way from Scarborough when I couldn't get a ride from my folks. Ran into the wife a few years ago, and had a nice chat. Hope they enjoy everlasting health and happiness for running such a great business for decades, and being nice to a kid like me back in the day.

They're still open! They're located in the basement (go downstairs). They were my go-to aquarium shop when I was just a small fry of 5 years old with my dad on a monthly basis. I must have bought over 35+ fish throughout the years - all were very healthy (even had a couple of mating pairs). They don't sell aquarium sets anymore, but they still have a good selection of healthy freshwater fish. The lady provides really good advice such as letting you know to consider fish temperament in a community tank. Out of the pet stores I've visited in Toronto the past couple of weeks, Wong's Aquarium is the most affordable Bonus: their fish are healthy. They take really good care of their fish, so well..that they have a couple of fish that are at least 10+ years old.

Really great spot. The lady was so sweet and adorable. She knew her stuff. We will be coming here from now on to purchase fish for our tank!

I've been going to this store since I was a youth getting feeder goldfish and the occasional fish or supplies for my aquariums. Decent selection and one of the true affordable aquarium hobbyist stores downtown. His selection varies and he can be a bit grumpy and non talkative, but if you're there to buy and not waste his time its well worth the trip. Don't expect much in the way of advice or helpfulness, you need to come prepared and know what you need to get. (At least from all of my experiences) He also has extensive garden plants, but the fish he keeps are pretty healthy and I've never gotten any ill fish yet. You can easily outfit yourself with a new tank and supplies with all the fittings and supplies needed here.

The Google location is actually wrong. Its on the SW corner across from the Collegiate, 1 city block EAST of Broadview and Gerrard St. East.

After I went around a couple of aquarium shops in the city especially around downtown, the price of their fish is reasonable or lower. Their fish is healthy and good quality but small variety. Even tho, you can find some standard fish which is neon tetra, molly, goldfish, betta, etc. If you are betta fish lover, you will be surprised at price of dumbo!

Still exists! Google maps is showing an empty lot which is 592 Gerrard Street East! The Aquarium Shop is downstairs in the basement. Business hours are shorter now because the owners are all in their 70's.

Lovely staff. It's in the basement of the building and there is no sign at street level, I walked right by it. There were lots of fish and fish food. They did not sell water testing kits.
