One of the most unique gardens in North America. Terrific 2.5 hour tour. Kept groups separated enough that views were not disturbed. Utterly amazing!

This is as good as it gets in the gardening world. The extent and variety of plantings/settings is fabulous.

After watching a documentary about the garden (called "The Gardener") I was seized by a violent desire to visit. (I live in the US.) I discovered they were only open for 4 days this summer, so when tickets went on sale online I was in front of my computer ready to go 15 minutes before they went online. (Good thing, too, as the tickets sold out that evening.) I arranged for round trip bus transportation from Québec, then waited anxiously for the day to arrive. After the bus dropped me off at the appointed place, I discovered there was no taxi, bus, or other transportation to the gardens, so I hoofed it 2.2 km. (mostly uphill!) to the garden entrance. I missed my scheduled tour time and I'm so glad I did, because I was added to the next tour and met our lovely guide, Anne Girard. She's been a guide here for a long time, and she knew *everything* about its history. (I was even able to translate for two ladies who didn't speak French.) The gardens more than lived up to my expectations - so amazingly beautiful, with surprises to draw the eye placed all over the grounds. Mr. Cabot has left quite a legacy in this enchanting garden - his grand-daughter now runs the place. Many Canadians are unaware of this gem in their midst - hopefully more will discover it. The tour runs 2 1/2 hours, and parts of the path are a little tricky, but oh, dear lord, what a heavenly place! I highly recommend a day trip from Québec City - absolutely recommended!

This is a private garden that is only open four times a year and limited to 500 people on each of these days. Plan ahead. You will love it.

We waited a year to see this garden and it was everything we expected. Frank Cabot's daughter, Anne and hubby were out to greet and sign books at the exit. What lovely people. Well organised by the Port-Au-Saumon ecological center. Yes, the site sells to many tickets and we were not let to wander! Worth the wait!
