Very disingenuous and deceptive, from my experience.

I ordered a pair of Timberland boots from Shoe Club online. They were presented as the regular version you would wear on the street, so I assumed that's what I would be getting. They ended up actually being the work boot version specifically made for construction, general labor, etc. They visually looked the same but nowhere on their site did they state that these were work boots.

Avoid ordering from them online. This will be my first and last time.

I went into your location at 700 Lawrence ave west. I bought and paid 87.00 for a pair of winter boots. I asked the associate if they were waterproof and she said she had the same pair and loved them. I noted in the boots that it said they were guaranteed for 6 months. Well less then 60 days later the boot was falling apart. I was happy when I came in they said they would have them repaired. But as I am in retail myself managing multiple stores I was surprised they I was not offered another pair. More then a few days later after droping my shoes off for repair I was called and offered another pair. Excellent until I could see that the stock was defective and that I would be again with no winter boots.
Finally the lady and I spoke and I explained I was uncomfortable taking shoes I could visibly see were already damaged ( soel separating from the lether) I then said I would like something different .She said okay and I found something suitable.

To my HORROR!!!
I was asked to pay the difference. I said so I need to pay?. She said that it was MY choice to pick a different shoe.!!! I said but the others are defective .
It was stated that this was MY choice, so I paid the difference. Like I said, I am in retail however I had No choice here.
It was
1) take a second pair of Visibly defective boots for free or
2) pay the difference.

I will no longer be a shopper.
Shame on you.
