Ventured to Scotiabank for the annual Canadian Film Festival. I haven’t been to a movie theatre in a long time, and it was quite the epic return to the cinema.

I learned that my sitting tolerance in the theatres has greatly decreased. Which is weird, because I do tend to sit throughout my day. But maybe it’s the forced confines of a movie theatre seat, that has made me acutely aware of my limitations. I clearly can’t do the triple features like I used to in my youth.

Nice theatre, friendly and helpful staff and well-maintained washrooms. Delicious movie theatre popcorn! Parking was very convenient as we parked in the underground adjoining the theatre and we even had our parking validated at the theatre box office... so we only paid $5 for that Thursday night (which is usually $10 night rate parking after 4pm from Monday to Thursday).

A good place to watch movies. I have been to cineplex theatres all across Toronto. This one looks like one of the biggest. Huge halls, great interiors and absolutely fantastic food options.

I don’t see those at many other places. Choose a great movie and get to this place.

Recommend trying D-Box once for a movie like avatar. The seats moving adds to the experience. Not like the 5D things but this is good too.

One of the best ‘movieplex’ in Toronto. Situated in the downtown core along Richmond street, the Scotiabank Theatre is also one of the partner venues for the Toronto International Film Festival.

There is a long yet grand escalator that takes you to the first floor where the ticketing and halls are.

There is a Starbucks inside and a couple other fancy restaurant joints in addition to the popcorns and the usual cool drink dispensers.

Very well kept, thanks to all the staff!!

The parking though is a bit tricky although there is free public parking along walking distance if you get lucky..

Scotiabank Theatre Toronto 🎭 My first visit to Scotia IMAX Theatre, and as Nolan fans, we were thrilled to watch the movie "Openhimer" in IMAX. The experience was truly marvelous; the IMAX screen and the surrounding music system were of high quality. The recliner seating added to the comfort, making it an excellent viewing experience. It was fascinating to be in a place that hosted the Toronto Film Festival, a childhood, 😍dream come true.

The interior work of the theater was impressive, and the vast area with almost 10 theaters was a sight to behold. We're already looking forward to our next movie night here. I appreciate that the theater is wheelchair accessible, and the washrooms were well-maintained. It was also convenient to have food courts inside for a quick bite.

Overall, a great place for a movie night, and I highly recommend it to others.

Amazing Dolby surround sound experience in this theatre.

I was here for Doctor strange and it was fun since the plan was very spontaneous.
The 3D glasses are crystal clear and they clean and decent.

They have amazing cafeteria and has popcorn coke and other meals available.

There is good leg space on the top row chairs and the experience of imax makes it even better.

Find the Red Cube, you find the theater.
Sky high cinema with an arcade, a Bar, Freestyle Coke Machine, Outtake, and IMAX, IMAX AVX, D-BOX, 270 degree immersive theater, and regulars screens. Check out for a fun night, just keep in mind it’s usually busy.

Really great IMAX. Screan is so huge, and seats are comfortable with enough space

Best movie theatre spot in the city. This place is pretty lowkey, and is rarely as busy compared to other location. The arcade section used to be kickass, but they dumb it down a bit. The stuff is pretty cool too!

Felt a sense of luxury here. There was a greeter right in front, there was security around so im not sure if someone of high caliber was here. But great experience the location is prime. Lots of movies lots of selection. Great staff working here. Lots of food and snack options there is a gaming area that looks very fun for kids or adults. Would come again A+++

Great theatre! The staircase to the upper level alone is pretty cool. Well maintained seats and imax is awesome. Only downside is the usual annoyance at movie theatres. Cellphones, talking, and kicking sears; none of which is at the fault of the theatre. Perfect for a date or just a fun night with friends.

It's best to go to the theatre on Tuesdays when the tickets are much cheaper. It's also still nice that they have the game section in the back corner, the newer bar area, concessions in the middle and also the ticket booths on the second floor. With the pandemic, it's even more necessary to purchase tickets in advanced as they only have the 1 ticket booth on the 1st floor (before ID checking).

The theatre is nice and I love the décor! It has a really good set up for the pandemic protocol to direct people in or out. The bottom floor is now allocated for a Xscape gaming area. The movie theatre seating themselves are very Cineplex standard with a high incline for you to view from all rows. The staff do a good job cleaning the theaters.

Went to a pre-screening of the latest Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning last night and it was exceptional. Lots of action, storyline was excellent. Fun and adrenaline driven! Definitely a movie to watch. Can’t wait for part 2.

The place is on the 2nd floor. It's a very large place with high ceilings, lots of glass. The staff are friendly and helpful. The building is clean, tidy and well maintained and well lite. It's a must see kind of place.

Good old Scotiabank theatre. Came on a Wednesday and didn't have to wait at the concessions. It's been a while since I bought popcorn, but be prepared to spend money as combos almost cost as much as dinner for 1.

First time watching a movie at this theater. It is quite large with 14/15 screening rooms. We watched The Matrix Resurrections pre-screening on December 16th. The whole building was decked out to give it a Matrix themed feel it was really well done. Theatre seating was at 50% capacity so it didn’t feel crowded and we were able to keep a safe distance from everyone. Getting into the theater was a bit crowded but everyone was masked and once you got into the room it was fine. The screens are a good size and the sound system is good as well.

There is underground parking in the same building which is convenient. PARKING TIP: DO NOT PAY AT THE KIOSKS. PAY AT THE EXIT GATE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD. We made the mistake of paying at the kiosk and then tried to exit the parking lot but because there was a huge line of cars trying leave, it took us 45min to make it to the exit gate after the show and ended up having to pay the parking fee twice because we took too long to get out. Or better yet, don’t drive. Since we were coming from outside the city we unfortunately had to drive.

Good movie theater, sometimes might lack some selections though.

Has a place to sit if you come too early. Also has free toilets that you don't need a movie ticket for, unlike some other cineplex locations.
