Built in 1927 -- making it the perfect cinema to see the Laurel & Hardy biopic "Stan & Ollie."

This place makes Mount Pleasant special. I always have the best movie watching experience when I come here. Staff are always very friendly and the small theatre sizes create a really special atmosphere. Love it!

Great old theatre. One of a kind "neighbourhood" theatre that have mostly vanished in Toronto in favour of movie plex type theatres. I guess you could say the seats are comfy. Nice screen. Good acoustics. Usually never that busy, but depends on the movie. They have a good selection of movies & the price is right. Street parking only on Mt. Pleasant Rd.

Nice location. Small entrance but relatively large hall. I went there for a comedy movie. Technically, everything was fine and the sound, brightness and resolution were acceptable. There is a small counter that sells pop corn and light drinks, but don't froget to have cash!

Nice place in center to watch #sensual #movies. #Good_prices. And lots of #parking in nearby small streets, in comparison with city center. #Not_busy, so you can really #relax and have #home_atmosphere, which is unlike other big theatres' Make a note they just take #cash and place is #old, but that gives it more #charm 💫

Don't stop looking as it is old but it's very good and big theatre. Felt watching like in native place.
Audio and visuals are good.
I like it here and will watch again.

If you love historic, vintage, retro style theatres with a unique selection of world films and independent cool film festivals, charming and cosy, you will love this place too. In past few years, that’s the only theatre in Toronto that I regularly visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent old neighbourhood movie theatre.
Cash only for tickets and snacks. Great popcorn, average seats, outstanding customer service. Lovely spacious theatre with good sightlines and good legroom.

Great theatre! Great acoustics, and cheaper than usual popcorn! Most importantly, however, the seats are actually very comfortable!

Gotta love that retro theater vibe. I also appreciate that their bottles of water are still reasonably priced and not ridiculously marked up!

I love this place, because I watch movies made in Serbia. Otherwise, this is an old stile style theater.
