Sanctuary Park Cemetery & Cremation Centre

OK please forgive me, I'm trying to understand how people can just give a one star rating without any reason for it, this is by no means fair and it should be removed along with make believe stories. Now the times I've visited, the grounds were clean, well manicured and I found it easy to find who I was looking for. At any time I needed assistance it was easy just approach anyone on the grounds, inquire regarding my needs and I was taken to where I needed to be. Lets be realistic here in our expectations of what we think is required of the staff, this is a cemetery not a luxury hotel, it's not the responsibility of the staff to polish the head stones for anyone, nor track down our loved ones in another cemetery. To those that matter carry on taking great care of our loved ones. Thank You..

Julie Gee was our contact from the start. She is a very nice person to deal with - extremely professional and helpful, as well as tactful and kind. We absolutely recommend her.

I contacted them for further information on an illegible head stone pictured online. The Administrator went out to the cemetery and provided me with another picture where the markings were more legible and a map showing the location of the grave in the cemetery. I live in B.C. so this kind gesture means the world to me.

A long time friend recently passed away and it was amidst the COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the Provincial government.

The passing of Chris was not from the pandemic but because many services were in lockdown, many family members as well as friends like myself could not pay tribute to a wonderful human being. Only his surviving wife and a niece could attend the limited farewell. Chris, you are missed!

Well, burial was at this local Toronto cemetery. I was looking at the limited reviews for this business and it's not glowing; 3 one star, 2 five star.

They have the worst customer service. No response from the main office. I paid $593 ( inv.#36841) in advance for head stone letter repainting more than two years ago. The work was at best substandard. They did it again after I called and emailed them many times. However, only a few months later, it looks worse than before. I tried to contact them again many times, but they were very slow and useless. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I am trying to locate the main office of this cemetery. Maybe someone there can help me fix this problem

There are no words to describe how deeply upsetting visiting this location is.

If you love someone dont bury them here.

When I went to visit my grandparents grave as a child I was always told to walk the pathway and not step on graves out of respect for the dead. Now Sanctuary Park is burying people in those same pathways...

This is not ok.

The grounds are horribly looked after. Dead grass, no water. Lawn is basically cut & all the clippings are left all over the stones, no trimming. Basic lawn care. The mgmt is not pleasant to deal with for any inquiries. Disappointing as someone who has generations of their loved ones buried here. Doesn't seem to be well looked after, more like bare minimum met.

They dug up my mom and proceeded to touch her inappropriately, I am extremely mad and confused. It was very disturbing and I didn’t want to see that type of act on my DEAD MOM. I will not be going back ever again and I wasn’t happy with the service.

The grounds were very nice, the map with names on it were not correct, was sent across the street to office, the older lady behind desk was very rude, she needs to find another job if she does not want to help anyone, came all the way from South Carolina, to visit my mom, and could not even find my grandparents on the map. They have been there since 83....Bullshit

THREE YEARS LATER AND THE GROUNDS ARE STILL THE SAME, GRASS WAS ABOUT 8 INCHES HIGH ITS DISGUSTING AND THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE, I HAVE GONE TO THE FUNERAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS ON THIS PLACE BEFORE DO YOU WANT TO PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE???

Visiting hours are non existent on weekends or evenings. How is any working person supposed to visit?
