This is my favorite bike store in the city! I go there regularly, both for tune-ups and to buy parts/gear, and it's always a wonderful experience! Staff are always super friendly & approachable, and I never feel talked down to (as I have in some other bike shops). I've gotten 2 bikes tuned up there a handful of times, and the mechanics doing the work are always super transparent about cost, as well as what they feel is necessary to repair versus what is an optional upgrade. Can't recommend the shop enough & I love being able to support a co-op!

I have been taking my bikes to Urbane for over ten years. The staff are knowledgeable and give practical advice about repairs, taking into account your budget and needs, and taking the time to explain things if you need it. The place aways feel calm and welcoming, and I appreciate that there are always women and gender-diverse people working the floor.

A big thank you to the team at Urbane Cyclist. They were so very helpful acquiring a HP Velotechnik recumbent. I live in Ottawa and they spent much time on the phone and email helping with the custom order. The process was extremely smooth and stress free. had a ton of work done to my bike (cold setting, new wheels, cassette, derailleur, etc.) and couldn't be happier with the end result. there was some back-and-forth after I dropped it off due to some compatibility issues, but the service team was very transparent and patient while we figured out a solution. 10/10 would recommend.

You know I have come across a lot of bike shops in this city. Many of them good Many of them bad. Owen who was my service adviser communicated with me throughout the pandemic With precision. I would recommend this bike shop to any person I Had one of the best experiences When I finally took my bike in I had a wheelset built and Replaced every single component that required and clearly stated what was needed and was not needed to be done. They now own my business and I would recommend the shop to any person. One of the best shops in the city in my opinion. Thanks Urbane cycle. My bike has never worked this good. Great shopping experience at UC. I was unable to pick up an order which i longer neeed. Thanks to Trish and Brenden for their quick handling of my exchange request- and prompt delivery of some Giro trail and road gloves. Curated, well thought through selection of bike component, apparel and accessories.

My go to for all things bike related. I can’t express how amazing the staff are. They are extremely knowledgeable and really understand their products. From bike bells to the intricacies of how a frame is manufactured. The expertise doesn’t come at the expense of approachability. Super friendly staff who are excited for your next ride!

Fantastic experience getting a bike that suits my needs. The person who helped me was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. I've been going to Urbane Cyclist for around 15 years for bikes (two), accessories and repairs and have always been impressed with their products and wonderful service. My most recent experience there, buying a new bike in October 2020, was as great as all of my past visits to Urbane; they're solid!

Friendly staff, great communication and some neat products. I wish the virus is gone so that the shopping experience can become easier with less restrictions (also life in general).

The only downside was the lack of general/basic fitting; had to visit my local repair shop to adjust the seatpost/saddle to suit me better after looking at my pedalling position outside. I'm sensitive to all sorts of measurement tweaking in order to avoid knee/back injuries. But the shop was able to swap out the seatpost to a new one so I'm quite happy. I understand that the shop can be quite busy (I know they offer a fitting service).

My partner and I have supported (and been supported by!) Urbane Cyclist since moving here five years ago. We've shopped around a number of times for location's sake but keep coming back. Their repair and sales teams are both incredibly helpful and friendly, and they've made sure to guide us through every possible option so we can make the most informed decisions. Twice, they have let us in for emergency tire repairs on the weekend with an hour of closing, most recently this past Friday when I picked up this bunny friend on the Hoskins bike path. I cannot recommend Urbane enough; they are the gold standard for cycle shops in Toronto.

The staff and Urbane is very friendly and helpful. The bike-buying process was easy, from the test-drive to when the new bike was ready for pickup. Would definitely recommend shopping for your new bike here.

If you need a non-standard bicycle for accessibility reasons, this is THE ONLY place you'll ever need to visit. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, so much more than I thought possible. I'm very confused by some of the negative reviews that don't appreciate these guys.

I've gone to this shop many times over a period of a few years - initially I saw Samantha and she introduced me to all the different options and spent an entire hour with me without being pushy at all. More recently Brenden spent a few very long appointments with me, always being as helpful and caring as possible. They definitely try to provide the most value even if it doesn't benefit them financially. It's very rare that I find a business with employees that legitimately prioritize helping, it makes me happy to know they exist.

I know almost nothing about bikes but got the full run through and really great help. I am really happy with the help I got from Jamie and even happier with the new bike!

Urbane Cyclist has been the go to for me for the past year. The sales staff are very knowledgeable and my experience with the.products they have recommended has been excellent.

I was originally recomeneded this shop through friends and also through the "CycleToronto" organization that I am a part of.

Unfortunatley I have only been to the shop during COVID19 times so I haven't had the "full experience" browsing the store, etc but hey - at least they are still open for curbside pickup and service/repairs!

I recently bought a brand new fixed gear bike and, after a fast turnaround, the Urbane team assembled it with ease and professionalism.

I also have a 20" folding "fat tire pedal assist" bike (Lectric XP) and I recently took it in for a post-winter tuneup. To be completley transparent - I did shop around before ultimatley going with Urbane for the tuneup. I am not very "repair savvy" with bikes so I felt it would be good to shop around despite the good reviews and recomendations to go to Urbane Cyclist. The pricing was very competitive with 2 other shops in the city and I was already happy with my fixed gear that they assembled for me (as mentioned above). The other shops also recomended similar additional repairs/service items along with a regular tuneup. At some point you just have to trust that people aren't gouging you despite being a bit of a noob 😅.

As I touched on above - the shop is still open for curbside pickup and also service/repairs (for most things you will have to call ahead or book online) during these COVID19 times.

All in all I highly recommend Urbane Cyclist for all your bike needs!!!
