Albert was kind enough to help me to fix a blown tire on my bike despite the fact that they were supposed to be closed that day. A quick rummage in their used (but still good) tires section produced a suitable replacement. He even showed me how to adjust my rear brakes. Amazingly friendly bunch there. Thanks bikeSauce and Albert, I'll definitely spread the word and I'll be back!

Everyone here is super helpful. They'll guide you to help repair your bike and will lend a hand if you can't get it but they are NOT a full service bike shop. If you're willing to get your hands greasy and learn how to fix up your bike - this is an awesome place.

If you already know how to work around bikes, you can can DIY, get parts for cheap and leave. They appreciate donations, with which I have no problems, since it's community funded, they don't charge any service fees, and they offer inexpensive spares. They also offer bikes for sale at modest prices.

I think this is an awesome initiative and I highly recommend it giving them a visit if you're looking to eventually be able to fix your own bikes down the line.

Albert very kindly showed me how to replace a cable and fix an issue with my gears. So helpful and instructive, even for the terminally un-handy like me. Grateful to have a space like this in my neighbourhood!

The staff that go above and beyond are what make this place so great! We took a bike in that we thought was on the brink of death, but under the trusty guidance of a couple of staff, we were out the door with a rideable bike in under 45 mins! As long as you are aware how this place works and are willing to do the work (they will teach you how to fix your bike but will not fix it for you), then it’s a fantastic place to try out. They also have a variety of spare parts and accessories for purchase at extremely inexpensive prices. Masks are also mandatory.

Stopped in here today to fix a rear freewheel. The help I got and assistance to fix the issue was amazing. Such a great spot if you want to fix your bike yourself but are unsure how. They have a huge assortment of spare parts are extremely reasonable prices. What I originally thought would be a $60 issue ended up being a $5 fix and an 30 mins time. Thank you to the staff! I'll be back soon.

Went in to remove the rust off my bike chain. Ended up getting taught how to fix my brakes and gear wiring. The people here are very friendly and helpful. It's diy, but they show you how to do it. The price for parts was very reasonable.

They run on donations, so I left $50. I was very happy with the service I received.

Great team. A bike store told me I needed a brand new back wheel, cogs and a tune, $250 + to fix it. Bike Sauce fixed with wheel with a few turns of a wrench, and it is good as new.

Amazing place to learn and work on your bike! Way better than going to a typical repair shop because you get to learn about how to actually fix the issues. Staff was really kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

Great staff that are skilled, friendly and knowledgeable make this shop a great place if you want to get the work done and don't mind getting your hands dirty. They provide tools, spare parts and guidance though fixing a lot of problems. Amazing services. Cant recommend this place enough if you like bikes. Especially bigginers. You get to learn a lot about maintenance too not just fixing.

Efficient, approachable crew (Albert is very patient) bike sauce is a gem in the city.
Keeps those of us without hundreds of dollars to spend cycling.

Great vibe to this place. I've fixed my bike here a few times and everyone was helpful. I've been to bike pirates when it was in Parkdale and it was hit or miss - personality wise. I have a few things I don't want anymore, so I will be donating them here. Thanks for all you do!

This place is amazing. I showed up with a flat and lots of questions. The staff were very welcoming and talked me through all things maintenance and repair. It's community run and the prices are beyond reasonable. Go support them if you bike in Toronto.

5 stars is not enough! Maybe I was lucky being first in line today but not only did they help solve my issue but showed me another fine tuning aspect I was not aware of. I've always leaned towards DIY when it comes to my bike but sometimes you need specialty tools that you may only use once. Why buy them when you can use them and learn via a donation to the volunteers! I also had to buy a part but felt the price was very reasonable.

This community volunteer run bike shop has everything you need. There is a bike repair station outside for DIY repairs and tightening bolts. The volunteers provide quick and cheap repairs. Just pay for (used) parts and donate what you can, prices are on the website. Overall, highly recommended if you need a quick repair.

We need more of these shops around the world!

Came in on a Saturday around 2pm. It was pretty busy here with 4 or 5 people wrenching around on their bikes and 3 or 4 volunteers. I just got a new (used) bike and haven't had any experience working on bikes in the past. The volunteers were very helpful in running me through replacing my shift cable and indexing my gears. They explained things, but made you do it yourself so you can get familiar with what actually has to be done. The volunteers seemed to be a mix of bike enthusiasts as well as mechanics from other bike shops, so they're pretty knowledgeable.

They also have several supplies that you need to keep your bike running at reasonable prices. It also helps that they have bike stands and all the tools you'd need - since we live in Toronto and most people don't have garages.

I'll definitely be coming back, and I'm looking forward to learning more (also because I need to replace my chain and align my brakes).

Update: Came back a week later and swapped my chain. Still awesome.

I was about to give up on and donate my old bike when the volunteer kindly informed me that it was still salvageable! Lo and behold they fixed all the issues I had, charging me only $1 for a nut they replaced. A few months of neglect later, I brought old bikey back and they fixed it all up again! Amazing staff and real gem in the community.

Really nice place to go and work on your bike. Staff are all volunteers who are really happy and look for people to help. Ample tools and knowledge there. Place is actually kept surprisingly neat especially if you know what the place gets like on a Saturday in spring or summer (totally packed). Not at all pretentious like other similar shops in the city. Just happy to help any one and every one get out riding who wants to. They also sometimes have food and coffee around while your working. This place is great!

As a previous bike mechanic I just needed to do a few advanced things, remove headset cups and remove bottom bracket. They had the tools and the expertise to help. It was such a great environment, enough so that I've decided to volunteer as well! What a great place!
