Great experience!
So happy to support a family-run local business who really know their stuff. You can’t find knowledge and experience like this at local music stores. It’s also the only place in the area where you can hear an amazing variety of acoustic and digital pianos. Chris took the time to play samples on all the pianos in his store so we could hear the comparisons, answered all our questions and helped us choose a digital piano that was perfect for us. He even was nice enough to help set it up when it arrived. Price was also better than ones online! Would, of course, recommend!!

I cannot say great enough things about Tri-City Pianos! I have played piano my whole life and was always set on a Yamaha. I called Tri-City Pianos to ask if they carried Yahama, but they are an authorized Kawai dealer. I was certainly open to trying a Kawai as my piano teacher had one and I have always loved the warmth of Kawais, so I went to try some out. Norm and Chris at Tri-City Pianos are AMAZING!!! They made my shopping experience so wonderful and you can tell that they really do love their jobs and are so passionate about music. They are SO knowledgeable and they really do help you to stay within your budget. After trying out many pianos at different stores, I went back to Tri-City Pianos and bought a Kawai from Norm and Chris, and my piano was delivered the next day! If you are in search of a piano, I 100% recommend Tri-City Pianos as the experience is just incredible. Thank you so much to you both for not only an amazing time at your store, but for your wonderful customer service! I have been playing the piano non-stop :)

We recently downsized and wanted to trade in our 7.5 foot Kawai Grand for a high quality upright Piano as we had little space in our new home. Because I had dealt with Norm and Chris in the past we didn't hesitate to contact them and made the drive our there one afternoon. As usual, they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all things Kawai! They stayed almost an hour past closing time to help us and spent a lot of time answering our questions but were never pushy. That's what makes a good sales team.. just provide us the info, show us the product, let us hear it... and Kawai sells itself! That's what they did... unlike certain other Kawai dealers who try to decide for you what you like. Norm and Chris were AMAZING and we ended up making a fair deal with them and have really been enjoying our new Kawai-K300 Aures Hybrid Piano... amazing sound and features! The Grand was picked up and the new Piano delivered within a few days of the deal. Norm and Chris are friendly, they know their stuff and have been in this business for years and years. So if you want to buy a Piano.. first of all... get a Kawai... you will not be sorry... but get it from Tri-City. Even if you're in Toronto or Mississauga.. it'll be worth the trip and you will be given a very fair deal. Thanks Norm and Chris for the great service!

We needed a repair under warranty done for this coming Sunday and while others told us 4 weeks or more, Tri-City Pianos got the part needed over night and repaired on site on the Friday before our Service on Sunday. This is GOLD standard Customer Service and we will ne using them from now on. Chris did above and beyond to get this done for our parish. Bravo. Also a shout out to Kawai Canada for standing behind their products on warranty.

My husband bought me a piano from here last year for my birthday. I do not know how to play piano professionally, but can play various songs by ear and hope that by having the piano my children would pick it up and I would enroll them in lessons. The staff is so friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable in choosing the right piano for us. Their prices are also very competitive.
Norman came to tune our piano last week and performed a little private show for me featuring happy birthday. It is so apparent that he loves what he does. I highly recommend Norman and Tri-City Pianos for all your piano needs.

Last week, I set out in search of a slab-type digital piano. I'd previously visited a local chain in uptown Waterloo to try out some Korg, Nord, Yamaha, and Rolands in the $1000-2000 range. However, I read good things about Kawai pianos and set out to try some out at my local Kawai dealer, Tri-City Pianos, before making a decision.

I arrived looking for a test-drive, but received much more. Chris walked me around the showroom, explaining digital key actions using acoustic upright and grand pianos, as models of acoustic and digital hammers. I tried the two slabs in my price range (E110 and ES8), as well as a few in higher price brackets and non-portable form factors, and some acoustic pianos, just for good measure.

I left with a new Kawai ES8, which makes a fine portable successor to my 20-year-old Clavinova, and a greater appreciation for the action and sound modelling technology in modern digital pianos. Chris even helped to load the keyboard in my car. Although it would be ideal to try Kawai pianos back-to-back with other makes, I still encourage anyone purchasing a piano (acoustic or digital) in KW to stop by Tri-City Pianos to try out a Kawai.
