Bonnechere Bakery & Bistro and Bonnechere at Home

First time visit to Renfrew and decided to try this place out. The staff is excellent and quick. The restaurant is cute and spacious! But the food…. Wow… I had the Ruben sandwich and by far of all the Rubens I’ve had in Canada and Europe, this one beats them all!! Amazing sandwich. I also tried the carrot cake and that was excellent too. Great place, sadly it is an hour + drive for me but if I am ever in town, I’m definitely coming back here.

This is a total surprise for our visit to Renfrew. The breakfast bagel with sour cream is so fresh and the Latte is so authentic. Definitely worth trying!

What a gem of a place! The building is incredible, I couldn’t believe how spacious it was and there are so many cool details including the triple doors of the prohibition era safe at the back of the main store area and the original tin ceilings!

The service was so warm and friendly and the food was delicious!! I had their sumptuous pumpkin soup, and a to die for sandwich and will be going back for some artisanal dishes I saw that were gorgeous in the shop.

I live in a tourist area with many lovely cafes but this place takes the cake and is worth a little road trip. A must stop cafe if you’re by Renfrew!

It was chosen by my sweet daughter-in-law, and her friend, and it was really great: coffee bar in front, shop in back, restaurant alongside..ambience, lovely...from the Victorian style plasterwork on the ceiling, to the comfy seating in situ in restaurant area. Great, friendly staff, and excellent, delicious food. Freezer fridge chock o' block full entree and dessert options as ' take and bake'. Their shop has a unique collection of kitchen gadgets, etc and global variety of condiments..The selection of baked goods is beyond any pastry dreams , displayed in an antique general store type case..Everyone in our group was very satisfied with every thing about the place. Sadly we live about 1400kms away, so a return visit maybe not beas oftenor soon as I'd like, but most definitely I would highly recommend for a coffee stop and stock, or lunch.

A hidden gem of elegance and delicious food ❤ I had the special with a beet salad, the apple pie fog, and a carrot cake mini bundt for dessert. Ingredients complemented each other well and were nicely balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm and the service was friendly and prompt.
I can't give a higher rating but am adding another picture, consistency is on point and presentation as gorgeous as ever. Prompt service even though it's a lot busier than the last time and delicious complex complimentary flavours!

Oh my goodness this place is FANTASTIC !!
I've had issues with other coffee shops in town and this is by far the greatest one in the area! From the tasty treats, fresh bread, delectable sandwiches, and kind staff this place is phenomenal! My new everyday go-to! I love it and their drinks are refreshing and tasty! I cannot wait to go back next week! Also their larges are actually a large! Ha! Total bonus!

The best place in town! Great service, treats food, and the people who work there are amazing. We only order our cupcakes and cakes for any celebration from here, they do an amazing job at creating flavours and designs that make each cake special!

Bonnechere Bakery is a “must visit” destination on your trip to Renfrew. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming with thoughtfully arranged seating areas. The staff are very friendly and the food is fresh and delicious! We had a half sandwich and soup and it was the perfect cozy lunch on a winter’s day. The bakery is bursting with delicious treats and the home decor shop has a wide arrange of beautiful items. Highly recommend!

Consistently excellent food, service. With the bakery feature and gift shop area you can't go wrong eating here. Lots of choices on the menu. Highly recommend.

There are many great things besides food to perk your interest at the Bonnechere Bakery. They have a new interior in a historic building built in the early 1900's. Stop in for a country baked loaf of bread, lunch or some yummy baked goods and leave with a new love of country design.

I went there for a morning coffee and scone with my mother for my birthday. Coffee is hot. The scone was so good. Sour cherries and white chocolate I believe. The service is friendly. Great experience all around.

I thought my first beef sandwich was pretty good. I tasted the smoked meat sandwich and it sat that it was better. I also tested a squash soup and it was pretty good. Most of our group enjoyed the food. The waiter was great. He was super friendly, helpful and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. We got no attitude for all of our special requests.

I love BB! It's a wonderful place to eat and shop. It's unique building adds flair to the experience too! They have beautiful gift ideas and their home decor is gorgeous! There's a lovely selection of specialty foods and kitchenware. The staff are so pleasant and helpful and patient. I love that they are so knowledgeable about the things they sell. Highly recommend Bonnechere Bakery as a place to meet and eat! ❤

They did an amazing job on my son's birthday cake. Every time I order a cake or cupcakes from them, they nail it. The cake was insanely good and exactly what I asked for. And it was a great price! If you're looking for a cake or cupcakes, this is the place to order from !

I have been going to the Bonnechere Bakery for years now and the quality, and taste of everything is amazing! The staff are very friendly, and the decor is beautiful to look at. The bread is freshly made every morning, and the desserts, smoothies, and drinks are top notch. Highly recommend!

Kind staff patiently took orders from my young kids. Bread freshly baked in-house, and sandwiches were well-presented, huge and tasty. The dining room is vast with lots of art to look at while you eat. A selection of good-quality pantry treats are available. Just what we needed on a grey January day! We’ll be back next time we’re in Renfrew.

Such a wonderful gem in Renfrew! I am now a regular for lunch. The food is positively delicious, the staff very friendly and the environment very nice. Their success is WELL deserved!
